Throughout this tutorial he'll be showing off how to airbrush the multiple layers of green onto the vehicle to give it depth and also working through to using pigment powders for weathering and of course decals. You'll also see how he completes the internal details for this open topped vehicle.
What do you think of John's tutorial?

Gorgeous paint job but honestly for me the most impressive thing is you getting those transfers on so perfectly. I almost always screw them up.

That looks stellar, and you're making it look so easy I want to have a go (never mind that I haven't painted large scale tanks in 10 years, and don't even play something to use said large scale tank(s) for...)

Show us your mountain of opportunity, go on show us John.
Nice painting video, shame I don't paint with an airbrush. Yes we can hear the air brush.
At this time of the war were not the interiors grimy dirt on the white from the boots, oils and other fluids?
John why did you not wash the internal floor plates?
Could you use Artists Fixative, as you would for charcoal drawings?

Great video. Will you add a list of all the materials you used? It would be very helpful.

Excellent work on this one! I'm a big fan of your painting tutorials, it's great to get a bumper edition this week! One question/comment: I wonder what you think about finishing AFVs with a satin varnish, to get closer to the more glossy finish of the actual vehicles? Presumably not much, since you don't do it, but I'd be interested to know ;) I tend go satin myself, but I wonder how a satin finish on the armour could be combined effectively with dust effects like those you've simulated, which would tend to matt the vehicle down. I wouldn't want to end up with big pools of matt where I've fixed the pigment, but nor would I want satin dust...

That's an interesting thought on satin over matt. Playing with the "texture" of a finish is something I can look at. It plays more into the hands of a scale modeller, and many of those guys do fantastic stuff with the finished on different materials.

You certain the tracks on this Bad-Ass! were metal, and not rubber? I can't find a definate Answer! Just askin'

The track modeled on the kit are the metal track. I think the Hellcat/Chaffee got the rubber chevron track post war.
