Greetings from Egypt 👋 I have been watching your content for a while and it warms my heart to find a Westerner who cares about knowing Muslims' perspective on history. 💐
I have "The Landmark Herodotus". The good thing about this edition is that it has commentary explaining a lot of info about what Herodotus says along with maps which make reading his work more clear and definitive.
Have you thought about visiting Egypt? There is a lot of historical sites here, both secular and religious.
May you have a life full of success and love 🤲💐

It's so nice to meet you! I have dreamed of visiting Egypt since I was a little girl. The history there is so rich. I'd do anything to see the pyramids and float down the Nile. The ancient history, the biblical history, the modern history - there's so much! Definitely one of my top historical bucket list locations! God bless you!

Hi, this video just popped up in my feed. I'm glad I found you. I was a history major too, even tho it was almost 30 years ago. As I get older, I'm appreciating my liberal arts education more and more. I believe that a lot of issues we are facing in our current society are due to lack of historical understanding. Preach, sister! Spread the love of history. Keep up the good work!

I absolutely agree with your take on the importance of knowing and understanding history. Love your passion and excitement for history too- its contagious! My history lessons in secondary school were awful, painfully boring and I came away having learned nothing unfortunately (nothing that I retained anyway). I then concluded that history was dull and not for me...but years later I naturally discovered a love for history and a desire to learn more. I am focusing on it in my reading choices this year, particularly in regards to church history and theology. My next read will be 'Remaking the World' by Andrew Wilson, have you read this? Thanks for sharing more about your history degree- and keep the recommendations coming! x

I'm so glad you've come to love history, and I think your reading goals are great! There are so many great church history books out there - I definitely recommend the biographies of Jonathan Edwards and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. I haven't read Andrew Wilson's book, but I will add it to my list! Thanks for the recommend!

My other hobby is metal detecting. It's a great way to find out about the history of my country, England. Best wishes.
