Hellooo. In my opinion, Dimash is the best voice on the planet, he has many songs and all of them are amazing. I suggest two songs, one is "Adagio", hold on tight to the chair. Another is "Unforgetable day" the live version of Gakku, in this song, reaches a superhuman note. A hug.

Yes Vitas did this originally but only went up one octave to Dimashs 4. Vitas brought legal action against Dimash stating he could not perform this song again. 😂 this is the only performance of it to my knowledge.

Dimash, .... Diva Dance Bastau. He can sing that too. Bastau is a solo concert in Kazakhstan. Very large concert and he sang Diva Dance from the Fifth Element. It is a short video but most reactors are so impressed they do it at least twice.
Lara Fabian is a big influence on Dimash and you can see this in his performance with Lara and Aida Garafullina in Ti Amo Cosi. You will also see Dimash in his excellent low register. All the best, Peter.
Whistle Register in general has that distinct sound. That is because Whistle Voice is just what it sounds like, a note sung like it was Whistled. Any pitch that you can Whistle you can sing. Though it does take time to learn that coordination of the voice. When a singer's pitch rises, you notice the voice naturally starts to sound a bit thinner, once it flips into that Whistle Register it starts sounding like a "Tone Generator", the sound gets clearer and more pronounced. I have to do some research to see if it is possible to say words in Whistle Voice. I don't think it is, and would probably sound odd if it was possible.

I'm not a singer (took singing lessons though) and have heard many vocal coaches mention that Dimash is doing whistle tone at times when he sounds like he's doing flagiolet. And while I'm not vocally very knowledgeable, I have watched thousands of Dimash performances on video and some in-person so I can at least represent knowing his whistle tone :) thanks for the description of a whistle tone, by the way, I learned much from it!

You're right, he's not yet in whistle voice here. He has a distinctive whistle voice which you'll notice when he does it.

You won't hear Dimash performing this song again because Vitas had a hissy fit and Dimash dropped it from his repertoire out of respect.
Vitas has banned Dimash from singing this haha. He was a treasure in China for it. Dimash sadly crushed it, and made 4 key changes as opposed to the original 1
That is kinda sad. Though, being known for that song, and having someone crush it so hard, I could see why he would be upset. Personally I would be proud of him, and then just write a different song.
