I love frederic's quotes ! especially the phantom pain one ! "believe what you see and die ! " and in the PS3 version sometimes he says "live in ignorance , die in ignorance ! "
I do miss this game it’s just cute and since it’s based on a real composer I think they need to re release it and up date graphics I need polka back in my life ❤️
At my feet is the frost, but the sun is on the mountain. A single touch! My favorite because I love the epic pause between what she says and when she moves. xD
I love D.C. Douglas and his performance in the game, but I still wish he'd have spoken Jazz's incantations a bit louder so we can actually understand them over the sound effects and the music.
Ultimate fav 3:41-3:47 Believe What you see and Die, Phantom Pain! and "My power shall become a shining beacon, that will bestow healing upon your broken wings."
This video would be perfect if it had all the alternate quotes. A lot of the attacks have quotes that you hear very rarely, maybe once or twice a game if that. It's still the best attack quote compilation I've seen, thanks for HD and for recording without music and then layering it on afterward!
Invoking magic symbols beneath their feet when casting a spell. Also the Magic stat also determines how much healing moves restore (Heal Arrow, Unicorn Healing, L'energie du Vent). Polka's Zodiac and Fred's Crimson Blaze are spells (look at their feet). Special moves in video games are just bursts of fighting power. That's what Allegretto and the rest are doing.
Claves is the last one to learn her special, she learns the last one at lv 68. The others are around lv 50-60 so if you train Claves you will reach the other levels with the others really quick.
Love this game ! Played with people I used to kick it with on 360 then got it for ps3 . Btw where is the Prince and princess at ? I think his name was crescendo?
@Furyaki12 Polka and Fred's moves that create magic symbols under them are classified as magic. Also all healing moves/spells use MAG as the calculation, so Claves, Viola and Serenade count in that regard. As for the others, those are special moves and as such they're releasing their fighting spirit in exaggerated ways as is befitting RPGs.
Thank you SO much for uploading this... As far as I know there is only one other Eternal Sonata Exhibition video on TH-cam, and it's quality sucks and it isn't anywhere NEAR as well done as yours. Thank you THANK YOU.
Very little of what Falsetto says makes sense. She reminds me of a girl in my High School Creavtive Writing class who thought her poetry rocked the ages xD
@Gabe1794 the mysterious unison secret dungeon. you get party lvl 6 on your first encounter there. You can use clavs from the start to lvl her up if you wish. When you complete it you get her for keeps.
yeah and for them to do it with the Echoes is even harder since they do it whenever they feel like it (which sometimes is never) so I didn't bother with the enemies. (and the video was already too long with the good guys lol)
@Gabe1794 no you go to that place by going left 3 times in the "noisy dunes" then you come across this huge door in a oasis area. You need an item to open that door. That item you get when you kill the 2nd to last boss.
I know this was 2 years ago xD but i wanna give my opinion. I think magic in that world refers to the ability of summon thinks like polka and frederic with only their 2 hands, without a weapon (Shade comet, legion fulminante, etc.) And the others use weapons with the elemental powers or alike (Phantom wave its with a sword, Heal Arrow its suppose to be an arrow, etc xD). Thats only my opinion :P Sorry for bad english :(
I doubt anyone is ever going to find out what all the enemy attacks are, except the ones special to Fredric at end. They don't use them against you as much as they should, but then again, they get beat down pretty damn hard to do it..
@lukereplca You first need to have a certain Party Level to access harmony chains. When you have it, you can chain together the special attacks of your party against a single target as long as they're all within range. To do this you use the first one, then press the indicated buttons for the next special attack. This won't hurt your accumulated Echoes at all, in fact it will raise it. You can extend the number of attacks to 6 at the final party level, which you get in the extra dungeon.
In terms of gameplay mechanics, from what I've heard, all of the healing skills except for Beat's Vital Drain are affected by the magic stat, as are those that feature an emblem under the characters' feet (i.e.Frederic's Crimson Blaze and Polka's Zodiac.) In terms of "what counts as magic" as a more practical matter - a classic case of Gameplay and Story Segregation if you ask me, particularly the elemental-based attacks (Jazz also has an ice move and Rondo's attacks carry element appearances.)
Awesome :D Your the only person to do a Attack Exhibition. You shoulda made it so the dark version and the light come after eachother so you could compare them =3 Also isnt there more than one "quote or incantation" for each special attack =o Mainly for Frederic and Allegretto?
Wow Falsetto's speeches sure are long: By lighting and thunder it will be thrown, by wind it will be scattered, Heaven & Earth, Howling Thunder xD. My Team on my 2nd playthrough was Claves, Allegretto and Jazz.
I can't believe I just noticed this... Claves's hips are REALLY FUCKING WIDE. Just... just look at her character design; her hips extend to almost twice beyond her head!
Which level do I need for having all the specials? Since I haven't been doing the extra dungeon, I finished the game in lv 50, so how far do I have to train further to receive the remaining attacks? Would be pleased if s.b. could help me! ^-^ @vid: Great exhibition! Luv it! =D
@Personaforever That's...a fair point, actually o.o I never thought that their "magic" comes from their weapons. Of course, this would just make me ask why Waltz doesn't invest in awesome magical weapons that seem just as effective as natural magic instead of mineral powder that shortens the life span of those who use it.
what was that room where most of the attacks were shown? It was all gray and Claves and Polka were fighting together even though she died before they met again...
Frederic reminds me of Kaito... :3 Now that I'm looking at this game..I was going back and forth on it but now I'm sure...I need this game!!!! Viola looks awesome!
Ahh.. Eternal Sonata. You might spiral down into a flaming pit of despair near the end, but thou art still awesome. Aaaand getting to the point of this comment, Jazz and Chopin are seriously fucking awesome. Beat and Polka on the other hand..
Dekus z Tales of Symphonia 2 używa ataków z niemieckimi nazwami
3:41
Chopin - "Believe what you see and die. Phantom Pain!"
Donna Burke - "Whoa-hoooooooooooa!!!!"
xd
This game NEEDS to be re-released on the PS4!
Omg yes as a kid I adored this game my first ever video game
Shadowcat
On PS4 it’s available on ps now, which is like Netflix for PlayStation games
Still waiting for a remastered on modern consoles and PC...
I’ll do everything in my power to make sure you don’t get the things you want!!!!
@@emanluca3753 Why though?
Frederic at 3:24
He who lives among mist and tempest, and travel by riding the wind; ¡Answer my call! Orzel Bially!
I just love it!
forgive the pain you've felt in the dream
I'm sorry, Fred will always be ridiculously badass.
"Believe what you see and DIE!"
Falsetto's lines are so zen, I always loved hearing them :D
"Break the demon formation, defeat the hungry army...Vanquish all!
DEATH CHASM!
The music used, the regular battle theme from the game BTW, is bloody brilliant. Motoi Sakuraba really outdid himself here.
My favorite because I love the epic pause between what she says and when she moves. xD
5:52 Descend from Heaven and Shatter the Earth!- Deadly Orbit!
9:57 Now you will Learn the Power of Wisdom-Be Silent!- Eclipse Gaze.
Polka be like
You hurt my friends? I shall throw my shade!!
Shade comet!!
I watched this for sentimental purposes and I wasn't disappointed, awesome video
Took 11 years but I found the game I wanted to play
6:20 "If you strike a stone rocks are scattered, if you strike a person their soul is scattered....DEATH TO BOTH!". Thats some stone cold shit.
Sevenyxxtimes7xx what about “believe what you see and DIE!”
"Break the demon formation, defeat the hungry army...Vanquish all..."
Pure valor.
"There is power within my melodies. Listen!"
This video would be perfect if it had all the alternate quotes. A lot of the attacks have quotes that you hear very rarely, maybe once or twice a game if that. It's still the best attack quote compilation I've seen, thanks for HD and for recording without music and then layering it on afterward!

I REALLY LUV TIS GAME. Nothing has yet beat this so far.. Ori & The Blind Forest maybe..
Play Xenoblade Chronicles, it doesn't beat this game, but it is one of the games that get really close to this masterpiece
An umbrella is the most epic RPG weapon I've ever seen.
Lilka from Wild Arms 2 uses one, too.
1:23 Stay out of my way! Roundel!
Polka and Serenade define the term "Silk hiding Steel".
"That's right worship me" its really funny whenever
Salsa says that
Chopin is voiced by Patrick Seitz who's voiced Ragna The Bloodedge in Blazblue, and Dhaos in Tales of Phantasia The Animation.
"There is power within my melodies - listen! Piu Grave!"
I just love everyone's lines in this game. Especially Chopin's! I'm glad they got such great VA's for this. They sound genuinely epic.
Damn Falsetto is cool
This game is so beautiful. every attack is so climactic
I like how the song went at the melody of Jazz's sword swinging ^^
"Belive what you see and DIE!"
Chopin doesn't fuck around.
I so need this again in my Life.
Unicorn Horn is her only healing spell, yet she can fire energy blasts from her rapier. I'm pretty sure they classify magic differently here.
When I hear Beat's voice, I smile a little, because I keep thinking of Terriermon saying all those things, and it works.
I like Salsa's Grand Slam the best.
"Fly up, fly far far away!!! GRAND SLAM!!!'
Allegretto, Fredric, Jazz. Hands down BEST team composition EVAR like forever EVAR
Viola, March/Salsa, Falsetto... that was my unstoppable team.
One of the best RPG on the 360 at the time. I beat this game so many times. One of my Fav's
Dear god...how many times must I have heard the incantation to Howling Thunder...
There's a sidequest at the end of the game where you can resurrect Claves, so technically she does but you can get her back later.
@Faroreswind159 Lilka used one in Wild Arms 2, that tells you umbrellas are indeed awesome :D
is there any possibility if uploading the video to megaupload or rapidshare? u know, for better quality
nice video btw
Claves is the last one to learn her special, she learns the last one at lv 68. The others are around lv 50-60 so if you train Claves you will reach the other levels with the others really quick.
Love this game ! Played with people I used to kick it with on 360 then got it for ps3 . Btw where is the Prince and princess at ? I think his name was crescendo?
@SilverSpirit03 thats in the PS3 version. He learns it much early on the 360 version.
@Furyaki12 Polka and Fred's moves that create magic symbols under them are classified as magic. 1:22 Polka: *throws a christmas ornament*
Fugue: B***h, please~.
Very little of what Falsetto says makes sense. She reminds me of a girl in my High School Creavtive Writing class who thought her poetry rocked the ages xD
Regena Phalange you do realize this game is about invoking classical imagery
That's what classical music is all about
5:21 Fugue: O nono notanother8yearold--
Salsa: BEATDOWN~
Fugue: WHHYYYYY
Love this game.. So beautiful.. I wish it has a sequel
Frederick is dead.
There will be no sequel, unfortunately
Isn't the "sequel" [NEW GAME+] because it is a ETERNAL sonata
I love phantom pain
March's special and what she says make her look bad ass
@Gabe1794 the mysterious unison secret dungeon.
you get party lvl 6 on your first encounter there. You can use clavs from the start to lvl her up if you wish. When you complete it you get her for keeps.
uploading it to rapidshare now, link should be in the description by tomorrow.
yeah and for them to do it with the Echoes is even harder since they do it whenever they feel like it (which sometimes is never) so I didn't bother with the enemies.
(and the video was already too long with the good guys lol)
great quality and perfect sound! Thanks OMEGA!!!
Btw, Claves has a better VA then I thought
@Gabe1794 no you go to that place by going left 3 times in the "noisy dunes"
then you come across this huge door in a oasis area. You need an item to open that door. That item you get when you kill the 2nd to last boss.
it means More Seriously. It's one of a few musical notation references found in Frederic's attacks.
UNICORN HORN
I know this was 2 years ago xD but i wanna give my opinion. Juan Francisco Martinez Gomez its 2018 now lool
sawgy patatos with cheese yeah kinda late but good theory
I doubt anyone is ever going to find out what all the enemy attacks are, except the ones special to Fredric at end.
They don't use them against you as much as they should, but then again, they get beat down pretty damn hard to do it..
i love viola shes my fav character but i like the quotes of march, they are awsome
Is there a way to always get the speech thingy?
Anyways "Taste to the naked blade of death! Sky Divider!"
@NotTrollingAtAll It was actually "There is power within my melodies. Listen!" Not trying to sound touchy or anything :/
i love of how to characters are named after musical terms.
They need to make a eternal sonata 2...
Or at the very least re-master and re-release.
great Eternal Sonata Exhibiton video. I played in this moment the PS3 version from this cool or.
My girl March :)
She never left my party once she joined.
@lukereplca You first need to have a certain Party Level to access harmony chains. Live in ignorance, and die in ignorance. Phantom Pain!
Jazz has the coolest moves.
@NotTrollingAtAll It's "There is power within my melodies. Listen! Piu Grave!"

"(i.e.Frederic's Crimson Blaze and Polka's Zodiac.)"
Actually not the case. The Magic Stat only effects healing and nothing else at all.
omg! is the voice actor of beat the same person for terriormon from digimon the movie!?
March is my favorite charecter and her specials are awesome
Awesome :D Your the only person to do a Attack Exhibition. You shoulda made it so the dark version and the light come after eachother so you could compare them =3

@vid: Great exhibition! Luv it! =D
after seeing this made me think "they should have way more moves if they make another game like this"
i love salsa southern accent
Me too :)
Chopin and Viola are awesome! I love using them! Chopin is so poetic in his attacks and Viola does wonderful at beating the bad guys up! :D
*deals 100k dmg at lv. 20*
@Personaforever That's...a fair point, actually o.o I never thought that their "magic" comes from their weapons.

... Tuberculosis gives you TRUE magic! xD
3:42 Believe what you see and die! Phantom Pain!
I am a big fan of old turn style games, is Eternal Sonata one of these?
2:53 Fugue: Rly? whatugonnado kid--
Beat: BEATDOWN~
Fugue: ...WAT
Love the music in this game~
I just noticed the little like joke behind all of Clave's moves o__O. They all have some kind of animal name in them. Wow I'm slow
indeed, and he carries a huge sword
what was that room where most of the attacks were shown? It was all gray and Claves and Polka were fighting together even though she died before they met again...

Jazz, falsetto and viola are my team in this game
2:22 Is he taking picture of his oppenent?!
oh is that the room where the other portal in Barouque leads to?
Sweet. Now a video of Waltz, Tuba, Fugue and the other "human" bosses using their "talk-then-kaboom" attacks... that would be downright awesome...
Pound them Stab the consume them Coup De Jarnac. My fav
