3:47... but dy is not the change in y of the curve. It is the change of y of the tangent line. If it were just the change in y of the curve I don't think we would have this silly notation! LOL
I might be a bit late but, That's what he said. dy is not the change of the y value of the curve but ∆y is, and dy just happens to be a really good approximation of ∆y. And differential is just an easy way to approximate the change in y value of a function with respect to the change in x(i.e input)
