ted proceeds to give one of the funniest most heartfelt speeches after this and it goes to show that every minute of this show is pure gold. nothing like it before or after. one of a kind show.
Hard disagree.. the heartfelt speech should have gone to Colin. It was his moment and then the writers gave it to Ted for some reason. Robs the scene of any emotional weight.
@@dvs9019I understand your point, but I think this one fits. nowadays a lot of young kids say it doesn’t affect how they a view a person if they are gay, by saying I don’t care, or it doesn’t matter to me. ted speaking up just gives that piece of older wisdom to see it from a different view
That line about snowflakes on a mountain caught me off guard 😂 Turns out Will has been a buddha this entire time. I love to think he was just a wise and fairly enlightened person already and was too busy learning the ropes as a kitman at first to let it show by dropping proverbs on people who didn't even know he was in the room. Especially since that would imply that when Nate lashed out at him in the last season, he wouldn't have been that hurt by it and just thought "That man is suffering greatly, but he'll come around eventually. He's just taking a different path." Either way, I love the fact that every character in the show has some wisdom or lesson to offer, even if they don't realize it at the moment it occurs. If only a couple of characters like Ted, Beard or Higgins were like that it would feel so much less real. They do a great job of showing that every person has value and can do something to help improve the lives of those around them. No human experience is quite the same and being curious rather than judgemental gives you room to learn something about life from everyone you meet, even someone like Rupert who at first glance has little to no "redeeming" qualities.
I know it's just a fictional character but props to him for doing that. More correctly, props to the show creators for doing a scene like this, when today's climate can be kind of nasty sometimes. Love this moment. Also I love how Ted alters the "dont care" sentiment slightly. If one of my best friends told me they were gay, my gut reaction might be, "I don't care you're still my friend". But in reality, its more like "I am not bothered by the fact you're gay, and I'll support you no matter what."
This season has been really good. I love all the growth but I especially love the little things such as Will, he’s been integrated so well into the team and he’s comfortable speaking up now but still a bit shy lol.
It's always funny to me. As one of my friends came out to me as gay. It was during a Shadowrun tabletop session that I was running and we were getting really into RP-ing. And he said something akin to "OH maybe he's like me, gay." And In college and having many friends who i knew swung that way, I just stared at him, my mind stopped because I had to stop myself from saying. "That's nice, but do you want to do anything about the gun he's pointing at you?" Because, in that moment, it was like someone saying "I think i'm going to have Steak tonight" or something completely irrelevant to the Tabletop that interrupted the flow. Thinking back to it, i always get reminded that not everyone sees 'sexual orientation' as something. oh it's just that way or 'normalized'. and it can be frightening for any side to say the truth.
It pisses me off so much that they decided to cut away from Colin right as he was about to say the words for some reason - it's like his moment isn't actually about him
I get where you’re coming from but I actually didn’t mind it because we know he, it’s shouldn’t be a big deal what people like but it still is. Besides, he just came out to the team but he’s always known he’s gay. Plus, you never stop coming out.
I kind of like that they didn't show it. It almost made that more personal between him and his mates. Kind of ties in to what Colin said in the end...the team knows, and that is enough.
He also said in the Amsterdam episode he didn't want to make it a big deal. So it made sense to me that they didn't show him saying it but more him deciding to stand up and defend his friend (what Isaac had just done for him) and then the reaction of the team.
I love this show, but they kept so many important moments off screen - notice we never hear Colin even say the words? Such a weird choice, it fell a little flat for me
I actually loved it. Isaac asks Colin if he’s going to tell everybody, but he says he only wants to tell the team. So that’s exactly what happens: he comes out to the team, not the audience. It shows the depth of trust between Colin and his teammates.
Considering bi ppl how many "straight" guys even in a liberal country such as sweden that are married and try to hook up with guys on apps I would say the number is closer to 6-7% problably. :P
I hadn't watched TV for 10 years and last month I bought an iphone 15 and discovered I had 3 months free of apple tv +. I watch Ted Lasso as my first show and I have no words to explain how disgusted I am. I mean really people pay for these socialist, woke crap?? I could say that season 1 seemed was mildly funny but the rest of the show was the usual anti-white, multiculturalist, diversity, inclusion blah blah blah thrown at your face and done in such a childish and superficial way that If I were part of any minority I would be offended. My wife watch another show (Shrinking) and she said similar things about it. Even free I feel like unsubscribing to this dis-service.
Honestly? Loving Jamie’s reaction to being “accused” of being gay. 10/10 secure in one’s sexuality way of responding
It’s amazing how Collin and Isaac went from Jamie’s lackeys to full-fledged rounded characters
by the end of the show Issac was one of my favorite characters
It was really a surprising development

@@dvs9019 It doesn't rob all the emotional weight, mate. Still a pretty emotional scene!
It’s also consistent with Colin’s character. He literally said he doesn’t want any attention or fame in an earlier scene
love how they all look at jamie and not at trent in his dolly parton t-shirt 😭
Haha, a literal dolly parton shirt, at first i thought you meant a dolly like shirt.
I love how Jamie was flattered instead of offended and screaming that he's not.
Well it wasn't a secret that Trent was gay though
I don’t think Trent makes it a secret to them
i got that
Will is such a fun character. only used a little, but always great.
I like how he wasn't afraid of Roy now
1:58 what was Will offering Roy there?

When he tells his mom about the threesome i started crying it was so funny
it shows alot that Jamie takes it as a compliment than an insult because he doesn't see it like that

Well said
But what about all the wokeness? Its poisoning our culture. Said some snowflake republican
@@Timeless-Moments aw thanks!
I mean the only reason they did this was because of today's climate
Wait how can it be nasty? Today its much better for gay people than it was before
Notice Jamie didnt deny it 😂

He was flattered, though!
His confident
I like it when he is cocky lol

Billy Harris is such a talented actor. I can feel how nervous he is at 0:41
Hope this is his breakout role
“I’m flattered”😂
Loving the reason behind Isaac's anger to Colin. And how Trent ended up becoming like a gay older brother for Colin.
Dolly Parton shirt, leopard shoes fabulous hair having tent crimm even looked at Jaime 😂
A man can dream
And a Trent already knew it was Collins at this point 😂
@yoshilu7451 lol

This was one of the best coming out stories ive ever watched. Really well written.
The actor who plays Isaac, Kola Bokinni, really is so subtle here--superb work.
Never noticed before but Will seems like a younger version of Higgins
"Your gay,Big whoop who cares"
Love this reaction
That’s it, I’m going to have to watch the whole thing again now!!
Amazing writers, the story got better every episode!
Is it just me or is there a little subtle hint of pride for Colin speaking up on Ted’s face in 2:08-ish
Sam and his heart of gold gets me every time.
Will sounds just like his father 😂

Some would argue is a lovely subtle arrangement to give the scene more power and room for imagination
I preferred not seeing it. Same as with the slur. They take you almost to that point and the let your imagination do the rest.

No it’s beautifully written
Wow. These comments. Imagine liking a show and completely missing the point. Ted would be disappointed in you.
