    to each their own. I've used point source speakers for a long time, all kinds, from qsc down to american audio, which is what I started out with. I have always received compliments about how good a dj I was, but never how good the music sounded until the 44g2. over the years I have learned that the audience really appreciates great sound quality over sheer loudness. I'm never going back to point source...as far as mobile dj'ing goes.

    Great speakers, did 1 gig with them, still I think after factoring in size, weight, look, dispersion and setup options the Bose Pro 32 inches the 44 out pound for pound. Slightly different price but not insane.
    The 44 is a great unit all the same

      I didn’t like the movement in the column with the Bose. It’s pretty wobbly. I like that this can take a hit from a drunken bridesmaid and still keep bouncing 🥳🥳😂😂

      I know I am a year late but do you think the Bose system is still good? I currently own Also TS415 speakers for all of my gigs, without a sub, but am looking to get an easier to set up powerful array system instead and am torn between the Bose L1 Pro 16/32 and the Maui 28G3/44G2

    Great Video presentation. I use the EV Evolve 50s for small to what I call medium size gigs under 150 or maybe 200. I have 2 18 inch subs and 2 12 tops for larger events over 200. I find myself considering trading the larger set up for the Bose F1 set up. Mainly due to not needing nor wanting to haul the 18s around. How would you compare this to the Bose F1 and 812 setup.

      The prime 4 has been a game changer for me doing mostly weddings. I’m a 1210 guy but moved to controllers for weddings. Started pioneer RX1 then RX2 then to the prime 4. I hate having a laptop for DJing so wanted full laptop free.
      It’s amazing and always being upgraded. It’s made my mixing and DJing more creative and I wouldn’t look back to pioneer ever again.
      I’ve had a couple of glitches over the three years I’ve had it but all minor. Regularly has to handle 6-7 hour DJ sets, whilst recording, and streaming from Tidal. I actually use the Evermix box for recording my sets as the internal record won’t allow you to record whilst streaming.
      I’ll probably do a review on that as well.
      I’ve got a list 😂😂😂

    Can this unit be used with just one of the columns as I am aware of countless venues where the ceiling would be too low to accommodate this. If not, that's a huge drawback of this system.

    • @theweddingspinner7340
      @theweddingspinner7340  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You know what. I have no idea. I’m going to guess at no as the speakers are different angles in different sections for dispersion. I’ve had marquee tent hanging on it but I’d be struggling to fit myself in a venue if I couldn’t get these in 🤣🤣🤣

    SORRY .NICE Systems but not worth the price, , the small speaker are Car speaker they have FOAM around the cone. The FOAM will deterioate in 4 to 5 year may be early then you spend money to replace them or get repaired. LD should look at their competitors drivers.

    Absolutely pointless speaker ...the idea of a colum array is that is portable and easy to set up for small to mid sized venues like the Evolve or the better maui g2 28 and i get it ....these are portable systems and easy to transport and set up systems yours is the big brother to the 28 g2 but yet its not as portable or easy to transport ...so must be compared to tops n bottoms and i have tried and tested and these do not sound as good or as loud as say a old QSC k12 or a yhamaha Dsr 12 with small sub and its 4x the price so its just a over hyped system by you tubers.... My system blows it away for a fraction of the price

    • @theweddingspinner7340
      @theweddingspinner7340  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Hi Byrom. You can’t compare the setup time and portability of the 44 g2 to a standard sub and top combo.
      That is two big speakers you can’t move in one go. Poles, cables, cable ties to tidy the cables, more cable.
      This is one power and one xlr at floor level so no having to tidy cables. I hated that. A column array looks better in my opinion so why the hell not beef one up so it’s capable of more depth.
      For me this is a perfect system.
      Column arrays shouldn’t just be small tinny sounding things that old men can lift. There should be ones that deliver something more and do have some weight to them. Half of the other column speakers on the market have the column blowing in the wind they are so flimsy

    • @fullcircle6029
      @fullcircle6029 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Totally wrong. These are loud, punchy, great bass. I use with full on rock band for easily 500 people in clubs with all instruments going through these. The sound is crisp, clear and before with regular speakers sound was too loud for front and not loud in back...now it is even and zero complaints and 100s of compliments on our sound. Yes these are amazing speakers and highly recommended 👌 for any band and dj looking for hi fi sound and a best in class for these arrays period!

    • @byromtaylor6482
      @byromtaylor6482 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fullcircle6029 They aint an array speaker - that is something different and they are not a potable colum speaker either because they aint that potable and it is many times more times as expensive as my PA system and does not sound as loud or as good ....you wannna bet me? I will take your money man. They might be ok sounding and may do 500 but they are better systems out there for a lot less money and these dont seem that roadworthy to me for a band they would be ok - providing you dont gig anywhere with a low roof on stage ....Its a flawed product in my mind for that reason also .

    • @fullcircle6029
      @fullcircle6029 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@byromtaylor6482 ok...hmm.. you must work for another organization to hate these speakers so much. Thanks for.your info but agree to disagree

    • @byromtaylor6482
      @byromtaylor6482 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fullcircle6029 No I am a pro singer and DJ and am not sold out like these online You tubers that get them free for marketing I say it as it is - I have nothing against the company and get the concept of column speakers like the smaller G2 ones they do and I like the more stylish curved ones for the home - but I wont blow smoke up anyones arse because the companies dont get it right next time they make a product - eg evolve 50M which is not a upgrade. I told you why they are flawed and everything I said is my honest unbiased opinion. I think they are too big not roadworthy they are too tall too expensive the warrenty is not long enough they are too expensive and they are not as loud and do not sound as good as what I already have. I already offered to bet you which was a bit silly - I am glad you like them and hopfully you never get on a stage with a low ceiling but these are not really portable enough to be a column speaker and not really good enough to replace a good set of tops n bottoms and - They are flawed for the reasons I mentioned (too tall n not roadworthy enough for bands) ...there size makes them not really portable enough to be classed a 'portable' colum speaker too sadly. So for me they have not got this product right yet. I would improve them in various ways. Not that companies or product developers listen to people who actually use them.
