Geeze, Roma and amish paste were all I grew this year. Folks just don't want to mess with making their own spaghetti sauce....that's mostly all I do! My goal is getting a year's supply of sauce for the 2 of us, green beans for a year, garlic and onions. I do grow other stuff because I like to tinker, but those are what I get serious about. Gonnasee if I can get some blue beech seeds, guess I should see if it will tolerate Kansas weather and soils...amish paste tend to split and are more watery than romas, but they are kinda duel purpose as they get big enough for slices when the craving for a BLT hits.

The blue beech does turn Red. I too am going to add blue beech for my sauce needs. I liked it when he said it wasn't watery and more pasty
