  • I cover two methods for propagation watermelon peperomia (peperomia argyreia). This is a easy houseplant to care for and propagate.

    Thank you for this video! Will try out the soil propagation method ☺️! I love how the leaves look like watermelons coming out the soil haha

    Hi! How did you water the leaves you propagated in soil? Can you use a spray? can I try this using sphagnum moss?

    I have three leaves with stem in a bottle of water that I change weekly. No sign of roots after a few weeks, but the stems are black on the ends. Is that normal? Or are these stems a lost cause?

    Hey! I have about 10 watermelon peperomia cuttings currently going in perlite. I have pon coming in soon - do you have any tips for transitioning from perlite over to pon? Most videos I'm finding seem to be focusing on soil.

      @YourBabylonPlants  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From perlite to pon sound be instant transition with no issues. Just remove the perlite and place it in pon

    My leaf has been in water for several months with tons of roots, but no new leaves. How long does it take to sprout new leaves? Thank you!

      Hi pat. Get it in soil. You only water propagate till you get 2 inch of root. Now put in soil

    Hi, I was given a watermelon peperomia clipping in water and I've noticed that the end of the stem has turned black, has it started to rot? Great informative video btw! ty

    • @YourBabylonPlants
      @YourBabylonPlants  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends. If it's black and squishy then yes. If it's dark and getting fat then perhaps not

    If you cut the leaf the other way (vertically) or accidentally cut through where the stem grew, will it just not grow anything?

    • @YourBabylonPlants
      @YourBabylonPlants  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey. I’m not sure which way you mean hahah drop me an email or chat me on Instagram and you send send me the pic of the leaf

    Really helpful video - thanks 🙏🏻. How often do you water the leaves in the soil?

    • @YourBabylonPlants
      @YourBabylonPlants  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi I just keep them slightly on the damp side for 4-5 weeks and covered but can get nice indirect light. After you see your first babies pop up you can water like any other plant not allowing the soil to dry out completely or be soggy

    What’s the best soil to use?

    • @YourBabylonPlants
      @YourBabylonPlants  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey I use a regular houseplant mix. I did a video on how I make mine. I would recommend you add some perlite
