The only issue I have with the design is that the
iron is ON all the time
To preserve the longevity of the tips the iron should
be OFF until the button is pressed / touched -
either completely OFF or in standby mode and holding
a ' Low ' Temperature - say 50°C or so
Other than that - the iron is necessary for micro sold-ering

They aren't wireless. Neither of these irons have a built-in battery. They are powered through their USB-C connector. But you can power them from a small power bank, which is pretty close to wireless.
