- In this video I will be reviewing the PS5 vs the Xbox Series X and discussing the major differences that come within each console. The Ps5 is the ultimate next gen console that has continued to raise the bar. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X has stuck to an amazing formula that gives you the ultimate gaming experience. I personally decided to get the Series X due to backwards compatibility. I like collecting games while also getting new stuff. I got Gamepass for free for 6 months, but once it was over I still had over 100 games to play across 3 previous generations without needing to pay monthly.

I bought a PS5 two years ago and loved the fact I could play my entire PS4 library. It was a smart investment because I have so many games. Decided to buy a series s about 5-6 months ago? Love the game pass. Honestly it is a really great deal. Both have their own perks, exclusives, etc. Glad to see the “console war” is somewhat subsided compared to last gen. We all can see and appreciate each console for what it’s worth.

I also have both & haven’t really been able to decide which system I like better. I play them both equally really. I’ve had the Xbox for a while now but recently got the PS5, so playing it a bit more at the moment, but I still go back to my Xbox. It it weren’t for exclusives & I had to pick just 1 console & could play any game I think I’d probably pick the Xbox primarily for the quick resume feature. I love that. The PS5 definitely looks & feels more next gen tho. The Xbox also lets you upgrade Xbox games to Series X seamlessly & continue where you left off. The PS5 once I upgraded to a PS5 game I had to start all over unless I downloaded the PS4 version. I realized it’s because I didn’t transfer my saves over before wiping my PS4. I thought it would’ve been done automatically when I did a Data Transfer. No issues on Xbox tho. I just signed into my account & everything was there waiting for me. No manual transfer to be done. Just my 2 cents. They’re both great regardless!

2 great consoles. Love they have focussed on different areas. PS more innnovation and new games/exclusives for this gen. Xbox backwards compatibility (really is the ultimate emulator) and Gamepass which is a great deal for people just wanting to come in and play games. Another good time to be a gamer 👍

These systems suck. The load times aren't any shorter when you have to wait hours to play them off a disc. Not to mention having to delete a game to update another. You got ripped off on both systems pal

Good comparison video, i have both and enjoying them, for me i switched up from PS to Xbox as my main console (day 1 Gamepass) and PS for GOW, GT7 etc, all in all we really need more next gen/current gen games for both.

Long time user of both consoles but always learned more towards xbox. Recently purchased PS5, but the PS5 not having a “ Looking for Group “ feature like the xbox, makes it hard to find people to play with. Considering making xbox my main just for this feature!
This is a great video. Very punctual, straight to the point and without wasting anytime. I have a PS5 and will end up getting a Series X eventually for Gears, Forza, Halo and of course, backwards compatibility for OG Xbox and 360 games. Gears 3 was my ishhh back then!

@rhombus97 You guys must think this is the early 2000s. The days of pcs being "way" more powerful have been over for quite a while now. Depending on the game and type of PC....in some cases, the console has the edge. For a PC to be more powerful than a PS5 or Xbox series these days, it would have to be heavily modified and upgraded. (Would be very expensive)

I've bought myself a PS5 as God of War Bundle last week. My first impression after the unboxing was: Oh my gosh what a heavy and big piece of tech this is. But overall it is a nice console with a great controller, the setup was very simple, the transfer of my PS4 data was very easy. It is fast, quiet and has brilliant graphics. I think the Xbox is a nice console too, but as you've mentioned the PS5 has the overall better package for me. But you can't get wrong with the Series X either. It's a question of personal preference. And by the way nice clip as always.

For me it's xbox, because swapping battery pack in controller is much easier than every time give a foreplay to ps controller for it to charge....and it still doesn't guarantee a success.

I have to admit. I initially did not like that the bluetooth XBox controller required double AA batteries but after buying 3rd party rechargeable battery packs, in the end, I can easily replace the battery pack whereas the Sony and Nintendo controllers, you will have to buy a whole new controller once you can no longer charge them.
I have all three systems and by far the Xbox gets more mileage in my opinion it’s just the better Choice. The dual sense controller battery dies extremely too fast. Play station games are way too expensive for a one time experience. Gamepass is just the way to go!! In my opinion it’s hands-down the better value. My PlayStation collects dust and I very very rarely pick up my switch🤷🏾♂️ 🙅🏾♂️
Exactly, Game Pass is the deal breaker for me. Also, I've been getting Game Pass for free through Microsoft Rewards Program. Can't beat that.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you rarely touch your PS5 or your Switch due to them requiring that you pay for their games to experience them. I have GP but rarely use it because it's most last gen games that I already own.

It looks like he has a lot of trouble finding the outlet 🤣 but good video 👏👍 I switched from xbox one to the ps5 and have had it a little over 2 years. It’s been amazing and I have zero complaints. The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback really do add another level of immersion that I didn’t know could add so much depth to the games I’m playing. But my main reason for switching was the games plain and simple. The last of us 1-2, spider man and miles morales, ghost of Tsushima, uncharted series and all the exclusives that are coming in the future like Spider-Man two and wolverine I’m so hyped.

I love both my series x and ps5 for different reasons. I really wished the ps5 had the expanded ssd slot like the series X/S does and not under the facelift , but the controller, and next gen feel is great on the ps5 with the adaptive controller. Both and great consoles and you really can’t go wrong with either one

What do you mean? PS5 does have a port to add in a SSD. It's right under the faceplate.
@@TheQuickyouknow yes I know that, but it’s much easier to install and ssd on the Xbox because there’s an expansion slot on the back, you have to take off the plate on ps5, unscrew it, and manually put it in, which can take a lot of time if you don’t know what your doing
@@meechieflow_ Got it, it is easier on Xbox, but when I upgraded mine it took me 3mins to watch a YT video and 5mins to do it.
The SSD on PS5 is faster than on Xbox so I imagine it needed a more sound connection since you can actually exceed the stock PS5 speed through expansion.
Unless you plan in swapping memory often, this feels minor.

Coming from PS4, my initial plan was to get XSS first and when prices came down eventually get the PS5. Two weeks after having the Series S, I upgraded to XSX, sold the Series S, and I’ve got all that I am going to need for this generation! Xbox seriously is THE place to play for sure.

I've learned to utilize both consoles in certain ways. It helped lower stress, as far as why I would need 2 consoles in this day of age. Aside from using both for online play:
Xbox= Classics (I even have the 20th Anniv Duke controller for em. 😁), couch co-op, Day Ones, Gamepass.
PS5= ...Play with friends online..

The systems are a downgrade storage wise from Gen 7. The games are somehow worse too. I wouldn't waste money on either, the old systems play the remakes just fine.

There is essentially no real life power difference. On paper the xbox is more powerful but you will never notice it.
The main reason to choose xbox is gamepass, backwards compatibility & quick resume. Call of Duty will also likely be exclusive to xbox in the future. The main reason to choose ps5 is exclusive games like spiderman & better haptics.

Here's the way to figure out which is better for you. 1) Is online play an important part of your gaming and how are your friends playing? (Since Sony seems to drag their feet on cross play) 2) Which games are you most excited for and what consoles are they available on? 3) Does backwards compatible mean anything to you? (You won't need to rebuy most of your games on Xbox)

Last gen I think PS had the edge but this gen I prefer Xbox.
If you - like me - love racing games then you'll probably prefer the Xbox controller. It has much more travel on the triggers which makes driving way more controlled especially if you like simulation level driving settings. This is unchanged since way back, so if it hasn't bothered you before then you'll be alright.

Umm the wheel on the ps5 is untouched for gt7 also you can go to the settings and take the triggers and make them fast instead of that extra weight feelings

I think both are close hardware wise. The difference is what network you play on and some of the games.

PS3 an PS4 player always but I am getting XBox series X this time for Bethesda's Starfield and next Elder scrolls. Bethesda's modding site really kept Skyrim fresh for me over the years and I can foresee the same great opportunity for Starfield.

Per MS Standing it up vertically is technically the best but it is designed to work both ways. Gamers nexus has a pretty interesting vid where they were comparing the airflow and vert did look to perform a little better at expelling the heat.

Legacy Content: Xbox
Exclusives: PS5
Overall Value For Money: Xbox
Ease of Recording and sharing gameplay: PS5
Conlusion: I like both of these systems equally. You cannot go wrong with either. There is no wrong choice this generation, and that is the best thing possible.

I don’t think I’d ever want to use my console as a charging block for my phone or tablets. Outside of charging my controller I wouldn’t want to do that. Better to use a dedicated charger for that.
Everything else really boils down to preference. If you define next Gen as what’s new? Then the PS5 has more new features and for some that might be the way to go.
For me if I could only choose one, as exciting as what’s new can be… I’d choose the Series X. There enough that’s new that I’m enjoying. Game Pass is amazing and it’s the only service that lets you play new games day one. On top of that I’m really excited for the first party games coming to the platform. It comes down to the games for me. Xbox has more studios then PlayStation making games. When those games start to churn out, it’s going to be bam and then bam, bam, bam. There’s going to be so much to play.
PS5 is also cool. I actually just picked mine up for exclusives. If you can get both, I’d say get both. It’s worth it the end.
in the end , the only things that make ppl choose consols is the same reason that let Nintendo always sells huuge amounts no matter what , its the exlusive games , no matter what xbox gonna do , if sony keep coming with the best games , sony will always win , in this new gen , xbx did good only cuz ppl couldn't find a ps5 , if the console was aviable , sony would again dominate with a big margin , i have only xbxss and a PC i like the idea of the gamepass even if 99% of the games on it are useless but maybe in the future we would get real AAA , but i also know that sony is doing a better job with way less money spent , xbox never had an exclusive that at least got nominated to GOTY , sony exculive are always a potentiel GOTY
@@alaa341g well I can safely say I’m not too concerned with PlayStation. I bought a PS5 in August, with the intention of playing it right away. But wouldn’t you know it, today is November 3, and I haven’t even taken it out of the box.
Truthfully I’m enjoying my Series X. I like the games I have on Xbox. I have a huge back catalogue of games to play and I like that many of them got a free upgrade when playing them on my Series X. PlayStation charges you $10 to play the updated version of a PS4 game?! That is wack! 😂
Maybe this weekend I’ll set up my PS5. I’m really looking forward to 2023 for Xbox games. And then in the summer I’ll have Final Fantasy 16 for PS5. 😂 Come to think of it, maybe I haven’t been Gun-ho about setting up my PS5, because I’m likely just to play my PS4 games on it… There’s not really that many PS5 games out that excite me.

Might purchase a PS5 pretty soon. I got a Series X back in September 2021 and that will stick to being my go to home console just like last-gen with Xbox One as most of my friends and games are already there. PS5 will be there mostly for the awesome exclusives like I did last gen with PS4 and with games like Spider-Man.
I like them both but I think the series x got it this gen with game pass , day one releases and game pass ultimate. They pretty much have most of the same games besides the few exclusives but Xbox runs games better. We just got sit back and watch what exclusive they have in development and think they both going to drop a lot of good exclusives 2023 so it’s really going to come down to which console most of your friends have if you want to play with friends or just get both.
Is there still protective film on the center piece on the ps5? It seems like that may be y the scratches are so visible. It peels off... but I could be wrong tho 😬

I would say Xbox for like competitive game example like fortnite rocket leauge and cod but if u don't like that and like story mode games and single player games then ps5 is for you there exclusives are just too good especially god of war

I have both and love both so much. I really appreciate how easy it is on the Series X to get more memory space if and when you need it. I really hope that PlayStation eventually gets on board as well and makes it as easy as the Xbox.

I do play fifa and 2k on PS aswell now because that’s where the best player base is at for those games. On xbox i love playing forza and halo though such amazing xbox games i’ve loved since a kid!

I have a PS5 and the Nintendo Switch OLED. It just seemed more natural for me to go for the XSS over the XSX. PS5 for high-fidelity gaming and Sony exclusives, XSS for Game Pass, and Switch for Nintendo first-party titles, indies, JRPGs and gaming on the go. Also, they're all white.
I'm still deep into Sony exclusives but I've been thoroughly impressed with the XSS. This is probably the only console generation where it feels less than "console war" and more of these machines complementing each other. It's an awesome time to be a gamer.

I’ve been using Xbox my whole life and got my first ps5 for my bday last week, been on it since I like the ui more than the Xbox and I’m loving the controller and the feel of ps5 the new premium thing has more of the types of games I’m into which is dope

Microsoft was taking the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach, just improved on the formula. And honestly that'll be better in the long run. Sony was trying to change almost everything to distance themselves from the PS4 pro. To give a "next gen" feeling. Nothing wrong with that, but at the cost of that some features have been lost.
The PS5 is a Gucci/Prada bag. While the Series console is that dependable bag that "Just works". Me personally, I think the Series X is more future proofed than the PS5, with its more simplistic and durable design, more features, full arsenal of games studios under its belt, and arguably better services.

I don't agree at all. I have both consoles and the PS5 controller alone is a game changer. Also games are the main purpose of consoles and in that department it's not even close. Microsoft had purchased all these IP we have yet to see that produce anything worthwhile.

Coming from someone who owns both consoles I prefer the xbox, I also think the graphics on the xbox are superior. PS5 blueray player is superior IMO. Biggest gripe with ps5 console is you can charge it off a wall plug and it dies so damn quickly
there is not one single game on the Xbox series x that looks better than horizon forbidden west. and I do have both consoles ps5 and xbox series x hooked up to a lg oled C1.
I own both and agree, both are solid consoles…PS5, for me, does have the edge on which I use more…it has much better exclusives, but Xbox, as you say has Gears..that alone, for me, makes it worth owning! Couple that with game pass and I get to play games I wouldn’t normally be able too for affordability reasons 👍🏻

Bought both xbox series x and ps5 in past 4 months. Wanted ps5 because had one x but series X was available and ps5 wasn't so bought a series x then gamestop had PS5 last Thursday. I like series structure, and how easy it was to transfer my save data. Ps5 has been nightmare to transfer save data, but prefer the controller, exclusives and the UI is 10x better on PS5. PS5 feels like a much bigger upgrade and the series X feels like my one X but better which is kind of disappointing. I like the number games you can save the state and just resume on series X. PS5 controller is awesome but the adaptive triggers is more blessing then a curse but can screw you up at times. Def prefer it hut not as night and Day. I'm niether ps, xbx or switch guy. I love all 3 systems but PS5 deserve to be king. I'm routing for xbx because they been down for multiple generations and love gamepass. 2 great system and no major hardware issues and huge design flaws.
Wish the Xbox Series had more features? Smart Delivery, 1440p support, VRR, compatibility with last gen accessories, hot swappable external memory and quick resume. All features PS5 didn't have. Smh

@@kill3rbyysight PS5 doesn't have smart delivery. PS5 still charging $10 more for next gen features. You can't use your PS4 controller on a PS5 or your dualsense on a PS4 last time I checked. Yeah, the XSX expansion is more expensive but it's hot swappable, easy to use and is the exact same SDD that's in the console which means you get the same speed and Quick Resume...which PS5 doesn't have. VVR just dropped and 1440p support is in beta. 2 years after the console released btw.
ok ok relax.. but hey dnt tell me every single game gets free next gen upgrade on series x.. games which get free upgrade also gets free upgrade on Ps5 for example Cyberpunk 2077.. Smart delivery simply means if both gen versions r available.. series x automatically runs next gen ver. whereas on ps5 u hv to manually select new ver. & we r smart enough to do dat🤔🤭 and ps5 expansion ssds provide same performance.. dnt behave like u living under the rock.. so many videos on youtube.. vrr was never an issue on ps5 as its stable af unlike series x.. no offence.. although vrr on ps5 has unlocked never expected possibilities on a console providing 100+ frames for games like Spiderman.. 1440 p is a Joke.. y buying next gen console if u not gonna use it full potential??

Which one has a longer gameplay? Have you had any experience of it Getting hot ,freezes up on both consoles ? I have heard that PlayStation five you can play the PlayStation 4 games is that true? I’d like to know which one is best also because my PlayStation 4 has been freezing up lately I play a lot of 2K 23 golf and I can only get one and a half rounds of golf before freezing. No I do not have a cooling fan but at this point, I don’t know if this would help being that it freezes so fast. I do have fans running on the console but apparently this isn’t helping.
u deffo a ps5 problem if ur ps5 keeps freezing might want to get it looked at before something else happens to it
