Lol They were only relatively 'Wild'. Compared to actually living the (fucked up) "life" they were singing about, they were choir boys. Pretty wild compared to Tiny Tim, not so wild compared to GG Allin / someone who's raped and killed.

Official videos are the way to go , especially 80's - 90's music MTV helped bring out ( Forced ) bands to be more creative in a new media . Some bands were more creative than others .
Examples : B52's and White Zombie . To watch Lyric videos of Love Shack or More Human than Human is to miss out on the Flavour the Vibe of the bands visions of their music , you're only getting a part of what made some songs so memorable.
Edit : Be Honest would you watch a Lyric video of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean or the Motown Special live version. Sometimes you need to see them Moonwalk .
It’s not about the visual effects of a video … it’s about the music and song and how it makes you feel.

Michael Jackson hired John Landis who made The Blues Brothers . The songs may make feel a certain way but the videos were made with the artists visions in mind as well. Todays top artist still rely on The Visuals ( videos ) for their music.
How the music may make you feel whether it's the songs or the videos is up to the person to enjoy the artists product however you may please. I stand by my comments Lyric videos are weak when the original is available after all TH-cam is a Visual medium to get a chance to get a glance at the past of your favorite artists.

Wish you guys done the official vid on this or you would've seen something familiar another drummer done. If you get a chance check it out. Motley Crue is definitely one of those bands that broke the rules and made new ones of their own. And each member paid their price on the wild side for sure. Definitely my favorite band of that genre of the 80's 🤘😎🤘

this is one of those songs you absolutely have to see the official music video for (live concert footage) it will blow your minds. I've seen them 5 times, 4 of them are concerts I will never forget.
My mom was sure I was going to be a devil worshipper when she found this in my room🤣I blasted this whole album,as a teenager,and loved every second.

This tour was my first concert, I remember Nikki rolling down the stage at the end of this song.

My first concert as well in 87 with Guns n Roses opening for them. I was 14.
I’m usually a lyrics based listener. Have loved this song a long time. But I never got past the music in this song to pay attention to the lyrics. Especially tommy lee on the drums... not the best nor the most technical drummer, but somehow he brings the drums to the front of the music, you hear them more somehow of that makes any sense. I love Motley Crue. More please!

My step dad took me to see motley crue back in 87, i was 13, this song being from that tour *girls girls girls* i still remember it like it was yesterday...i took my daughter to see the crue this past august *stadium tour* it was for her 13th bday, time honored tradition lol 🎶❤️🎶

Nikki (nass player) would have occasional bedroom fun with a highschool girl from a Catholic school. (Yes, when he was a famous musician) He wondered what the school would think if they knew what she was doing. He asked her if she had a Bible one day and she left it with him. He wrote this song and that's why there are passages from the Bible.

I'm taking my family to Kansas city Missouri in July to see Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett. 80's rock concert. Ya'all need to check out the other bands also.
The original video to this song was filmed in Indianapolis Indiana at Market square arena I was at that concert it was one of the best concerts I have been to and I have been to a lot of concerts over the years.
You need to watch it live, in the official music video...it marks tommy Lee's drum cage scene, the beginning of the ingenuity they brought to their shows!! Also watch the carnival of sin concert..its sick!!

Glad you two made it to this song, as it is a banger for sure and is the opening track on the Girls, Girls, Girls album (1987 - you were correct there BJ). The discography throughout the 80s was definitely pretty consistent, as their debut album "Too Fast for Love" was released in '81 followed by "Shout At the Devil" in '83, "Theatre of Pain" in '85, this one in '87 and finally "Dr. Feelgood" in '89...they killed it then and they remain my top favorite band overall from that, my favorite Decade!

This is my favorite Motley Crue song. It was in the 80s movie Like Father Like Son. In the music video Tommy Lee’s drum set does a flip while he’s playing and you’ve done Slipknot Spit it Out live and Joey Jordison gives tribute.

Growing up in the 80's, the Crue were the epitome of crazy excess. The lyrics were basically pulled from the headlines of the LA Times throughout 1986, when the albumn was written. LA was experiencing an incredible crime wave that made news countrywide. I got my driver's license the first week of summer 1987 and two days later I replaced the original radio in my 1978 Bronco, with a brand new Kenwood system. The first tape I played, Motley Crue, Wild Side.
I wouldn’t replace growing up in the 80s for anything. I also put a kenwood system in my first car.
A video documentary y'all really need to check out is called, "When Metal Ruled the World 80's L.A. Sunset Strip Story!!!! You will get the whole lowdown on all of these hard rocking bands and how they partied and lived their lives!! The 80's was known as the decade of access. They lived hard and fast back then and everything was done in abundance!!! Even if y'all don't react to this one, it's definitely one y'all should watch.
