Whoooa!! I have seen sooooo many people try to recreate that cake but non were as close as yours!! REALLY well done!! :D
it's not a cake and it's not suppose to have sponge in it. lol it's a pavlova. Though it looks nice, it's not accurate to the one in the movie.

LOL. Maybe if Aunt Petunia had made her pudding out of cake and buttercream, instead of meringue and whipped cream, Dobby wouldn't have been able to lift it as high and it would have held together better when it fell.
Now that you mention it... How does a pudding/whipped cream/meringue concoction actual hold a shape? Definitely go with cake!
