Beery Miller sets personal best Altitude record at 12,211 feet during PPG Climb

  • I beat my previous altitude climb record by just over 200', however I did not beat another local pilot's climb record of 12,576' because I ran out of gas a couple of minutes too early. I should have put the extra 4 liters of fuel in my tank and then I would have shattered the record. Maybe next week if the conditions are good. Temps at 12,000' were 41°F and were quite chilly with a t-shirt and short pants. Enjoy

    Pretty impressive that a motor with a carburetor can make that big of a climb without adjustment.

    How long was the glide down?
    Did you do anything to get down quicker than just glide?
