As a Chinese Canadian, I really appreciate what 88rising is doing for Asian representation in North American pop culture, and the unique art that comes out of that. I started listening to Joji and 88rising around this time last year, and it's been exciting to see them continue to grow and explore new ways of building up that culture.
In much of Joji's music, he seems to be having an internal dialogue with himself. I thought it would be fitting to bring back my "twin" to explore this concept with a duet arrangement. Thanks so much for listening!

The fact this is played on cello, I just lost control lol. I frickin LOVE the way cello sounds SOOOO MUCH. Violin used to be one I obsessed over but as I grew up, I loved cello's deeper feel. Frick. Sadboi song became even sadder and classical.

Cello is so lovely, how it sounds like a breathe and how each sound sounds so romantically mature and natural. It raises my heart and drops it each time there’s a stroke. Joji’s melodies with out a doubt are perfect for this.
