For the longest time, I've been looking for a channel that teaches peeps game ready painting! Lots of times many channels tell you how to paint real nice that it's just not practical for gaming. Love this channel! And love how candid it is about messing up, skipping steps and it just feels more real and authentic! Keep going guys!!
How has the algorithm not blessed my feed with this channel yet?? Great stuff. :) Excellent quality too! Crazy how you can get so close and keep it looking so crisp. Keep it up!! - Boone
Great video! Love the intro, biscuits and pews - such fun energy! And great transferable tips from the videos for other work. Important question - what's the best biscuit?
Lovely stuff mate and as others have said, I really appreciate seeing the "proper" end to end process, ie you get paint where it should not be and then tidy it up! Thanks for keeping it real i guess:)
Cool to see this tutorial; I'm really keen to pick up that awesome clone trooper hover tank once I've got through the age of darkness box; I've wanted one since the old clone wars game on the GameCube!
I'm not really interested in these models but our Peachy and the editing is so good I would literally watch any content you lads put out!! Peeling a potato, blowing your nose - ANYTHING!! 👍
Please don't ever stop showing the steps where you neaten up and/or repaint things that get splodges of color on them by mistake. One of the things I hate about some paint channels is the illusion that everything goes right first time, every time, or they "fix" everything off camera so what they paint is different from the end result.
@@thepaintingphase Happy to hear that, I really was doubting in getting some because of the paintjobs I’ve seen, but this is actually making me want to grab some.
Awesome! I have a few Star wars legion minis myself so I'm excited for more of these :) As for other options for K-2SO, I once tried mixing a color with lead belcher and it gave a nice metallic effect to the color that you could add some shade to to dull it if necessary. I didn't know about contrast paints at the time so it was a cool replacement
I have an embarrassing confession I’m from England 33 and never tried tea 🤣 any suggestions in what to try first? Think you’re a Yorkshire tea man? Love your inclusion of biscuits in his video🤣 bourbons are the best!!!
Tbh there’s lots o lovely teas, I’ve just been brought up on the good old Yorkshire tea. Twinnings English breakfast, PG tips, Tetley, all good solid teas, if you fancy something a little different and Smokey Russian Caravan is a good one, it’s like the Islay Whisky of Tea.
Love the energy you're bringing Peachy, don't have any Legion mini's myself but it's a range I'm interested in dipping into! Have certainly become more miniature agnostic over the last year. Conquering an ASOIAF army starter at the moment with Contrasts
Loving it, as someone new to the hobby who also wants to paint outside of just Warhammer this is exciting! Will you guys still be doing your chatting episodes in future?
something i'd really want to see is how to paint a Droideka. I tried a similar model with what i thought would be a Droideka looking paint job but it ended as more of a steampunk looking ball robot with three legs. nothing wrong with, looks cool and evil enough, that but it was not what i had in mind.
These new Legion models are fantastic, and this tutorial is really helpful, only problem is that they aren't compatible with other ranges, too big, but your painting skills are excellent.
Cheers Alessio, 👍👍👍. It’s funny you mention the compatibility of other ranges I was trying to do a simple head swap for the Agent Callus model to do a female imperial officer, with some SW Legion weapon swaps could I find a head to put on the body that looked the right scale……no, in the end I used a female stormcast head, which still looks a bit small lol.
@@thepaintingphase Statuesque Miniatures makes female heads in various scales, perhaps the bigger ones could be Ok, but sadly don't have any means of comparison
This has been very helpful. I've had Cassian and K2 since I brought a May 4th bundle and I've really put off building and painting them as I wasn't sure how to tackle them. But now I know. I'll share my finished model on my Instagram, just about to follow you, but I am currently working on a Hoth project and painting some Snowtroopers. I have a base theme but I'm only 65% happy with it, would it be possible for you to suggest or even do a video covering a Hoth themed base? Also watching this video I got the idea to convert a Hoth Han Solo using Cassian as the basis as their garb is very similar. Great paint jobs and really looking forward to more.
Hey I’m pleased that the video will help you get some mini painted, and sure I’m looking at doing a range of vids on basing, so yep Snow/Hoth is on the cards. Cheers - Peachy
@@thepaintingphase amazing thank you very much. As a TH-cam content provider do you think Patreon is worth the investment? I'm currently using Buymeacoffee but the only supporter I have is a friend. I'm wondering of Patreon would be a better way to get support from my subscribers.

You know what that’s not a bad idea, we shall look into that, got a few vids in the pipeline before we look to doing though, so you may have to wait a little 👍
Cheers for your reply man, I'm glad you like it. I can wait, no worries, especially with the quality content you have published so far. I know that people want to see how to do things correctly, rather than see people's mistakes. However, I believe there is value in showing how to deal when you make a mistake. I often find myself in this scenario tbh.
Question for the Peachy, I wonder if we will see you branch out to other paint brands for future videos? Always love the content with or without the Hedhog.
Yeah I’m currently trying out some AK Interactive paints, and I think the hedge is currently getting ready for wintertime, so I’ve seen her less - Peachy
It is, the difference between the old and new is, the old settled more on the surface area rather than keeping to just the recesses, and it dried very matte. Where as the newer version is a bit thinner, settles in the recesses nicely without giving you weird blemishes on the surface details, but it does dry a bit shiny.
Congratulations, you are being painted! Please, do not resist.
Comment of the day and it’s 1030!
not sure what's better, the paint jobs or the one liners. really entertaining and helpful video! 👏
I'm getting these models tomorrow, definitely gonna follow this amazing guide!!!
Amazing! Hope all goes well for you, any questions just let us know!
You're the man Peachy. This is great!!
👍👍👍 thanks Bob! - peachy
Man the vibes of these videos are so chill
Kudos Peachy!
Painting up my own Jedah force meself, and this is great reference!
One of the best painting vids I've watched!
Thanks for watching!
Great job with the models, but that happy face? Whew, top marks for that!
4:15 DUDE! That's genius. I gotta try that on my Necrons.

It’s still so weird hearing you talk about things like eBay and no GW stuff! 🤣🤘 love it. Great tutorials as always. ❤️

The models look so good in the forest shots!
You wait for the Clone one Pat…..the other Pat did a fab job shooting them 😘👌
I wasn’t going to paint my K-2SO, but this has inspired me-and given me a great roadmap-to give Cassian his buddy.
Glad to have helped 😍👍
Love it that you show how to get the miniatures 'game-ready' first, makes the painting less intimidating
Ordered these a couple of days ago! Perfect timing to help me get them painted up! =D
Amazing timing! Hope you enjoy getting them painted up.
