Pianistos inspired me to learn piano, at 29 y/o back in september. I've played Chi Mai, Passacaglia from him. Now learning Nuvole Bianche :-). The Heart Asks Pleasure First might be the next, I think I'd be able to do it with a bit of training, right on time for my 1st year anniversary. Would be nice. But I only play 10h/week, might not be enough ?

this song is made in the minimalistic style.thats what makes it hard but beautiful. minimalistic is a style where there are lots of different changes which slightly change the rhythm and coordination while keeping the beauty.
Nicely done, number one. I've noticed not many (if any) do the left hand correctly. The huge speed bump to this song is the left hand change up when it changes from octave to chord and the arpagiation changes. Everyone I've seen so far simplifies it. It sounds good enough so that's all that matters but in some ways I wish I skipped it and just did it like everyone else. Took me a long week to learn most of this song, but it took me two additional weeks just to play the 5 second part I'm talking about up to a sub par speed. More practice awaits me, that's for sure.
LOL I'm so glad you mention the simplification - I've been struggling with this piece, but it's so beautiful, I must master it - or at least learn to play it correctly. When I looked/listened to a few TH-cam renditions, I saw how they had simplified it. I was thrilled to see that Pianistos has not done that here. Thanks for commenting about this. :)
Deidra Neal apart from Pianistos have simplified it. The left hand is not played as per the sheet music here. Not to take anything away from them, this is an excellent rendition.

You play wonderfully. My only criticism is in the beginning. Where's the foreplay? Where's the tantalising build up? It's really slow and then bam! Full speed. Nyman isn't doing that until at least 2 minutes in. The race is later; the writhing passion that follows the gentle caress of what precedes. Now I understand that you're not Nyman but still; take your time and make love to the song. You'll enjoy yourself more than with just a fling. :)

On the sheet music in which the left hand goes from an A to E, there is a chord which is E B E D B E. I see you are skipping the D note, is it necessary? Or did you learn by ear? 0.34

CrystalVlog I know a guy who spent 4 months on this piece. But he couldn't play the piano before and now he can't. He doesn't practice.
+CrystalVlog I don't really think it's really hard to learn. The only problem is the speed. Once you train it really well, speed up and you'll see.

Also the change in pattern. Both hands are going in different directions too, so it's a left brain/right brain challenge!! LOL
