Hey there. Can I quickly ask, are you recording the audio straight from the electric piano or are you recording the MIDI? I was just looking at the tracks you have on Pro Tools and I was just a little unsure since I normally only listen. You play amazingly by the way.

I have a Yamaha portable P35 piano and I would like to change, but after listening the unsatisfactory sound of other digital piano, I have intention to change to an upright piano. But listening to your performance I think that probably the best solution could be to couple a good software like Synthogy Ivory with a more performant digital piano like Kawai ES7 (or new ES8 ). I stopped this solution waiting new release of Synthogy compatible with windows 10. What other software is needed ? When playing to listen do you use loudspeakers? Or headphones? Connected to your computer? Why you abandoned Yamaha DHX 620 for ES7? Thanks for your answer.
Kawai ES7 has a built-in mp3 player which is great. It also has much better synthetic ivory keys. I connect it to my computer with a usb cable. I also always use headphones. After recording a piece in a DAW (Pro tools, it doesn't matter which one you use) I apply Altiverb 6 and other reverbs/filters from waves until I get the sound I like. You can use Kontakt 5 and piano plugins from national instruments. They have great piano sounds as well.
Alex Sterk I don't use any of those chips. The frequencies are calculated with a software written on a PIC32 development board.Analog audio signal --> differential amplifier --> Pinguino development board --> serial-to-parallel shift registers --> LEDs.

Having small hands is not a big problem. You can skip a lot of notes which you cannot reach with your small hands and it will still sound great.
