+Mia F Really, I thought he made good decisions, it was through his actions that the group was able to succeed and they were all fooled by Maul. Maybe opening the Holocron wasn't a good idea, but ultimatlely I think all this will help him grow as a character. Plus emotion isn't necessarily a bad thing, and maybe that is what they are trying to peel away from the Jedi oreder, that if controlled properly, it can be a tool without turning the user to the darkside. I think Ezra will be the first example of that.
You all sure know how to pull off a finale. Kanan as the new Kota? Maul reciting the Sith code to Ezra. The reunion of Anakin and Ahsoka. And Ezra accepting the dark side. Such an emotional roller coaster.

Did anyone else notice that once Kanan was blinded and picks up his lightsaber, he changes his style to a reverse hand grip. This IMO, is a nod to the famous blind Japanese swordsman Zatoichi. Who uses this reverse style and sound to great effect, making him one of the greatest fighters.

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! These Are My Two Favorite Episodes of The Whole Show!!! Kanan being blinded was a big moment and it changed Him Forever, But also kind of made Him a Better Jedi because He relies more on The Force. Bringing Maul into This Show is one of The Best Decisions They Made! He is One of The Most Fascinating Characters in Star Wars because You never know which side He's On and His Dynamic with Ezra is so Interesting. It was So Awesome to see Him Return because He's One Of My Favorite Star Wars Characters! And That Duel with Ahsoka Vs. Vader was just Amazing!!! The Way they mixed Matt Lanter's Voice with James Earl Jones' Voice was So Well Done! It was Everything I Wanted!!! Well Done, Dave Filoni!!! I LOVE THIS SHOW SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!
They did a very good job with Vader's vs Ashoka. They managed to make Vader retain his trademark clunky looking footwork, while making him seem incredibly powerful and in charge the whole time. Sure his swings look like baseball swings, but they had massive impact behind them, and Ashoka was basically on the defensive the whole fight. Vader doesn't give you openings, and if you become overwhelmed even a single bit, a little force push is all that's needed to end the fight.

mtman318 Yeah, definitely. After re-watching the fight, I too was surprised at the speed Ashoka closed the difference between her and Vader. Most likely that was force speed. I also felt like Vader upped his game once he realized how serious Ashoka was. Started swinging like mad. The funny thing is, I think Ashoka's style is probably one of the best versus Vader, and yet Vader still won in the end.
Ashley Eckstein was absolutely fantastic in this episode. Perfect delivery of very emotional dialog. I still get tingles every time I re-watch "I am no Jedi".
Rex's reaction at the end gets to me every time. He's lost so much to the Empire. He's lost so many brothers and now he believes he's lost his sister too. Hats off to the production team for Rebels! You guys did a great job! Can't wait for season 3!

This was THE best Rebels episode yet! I loved the eerie soundtrack, the way Maul was slowly molding Ezra into an apprentice, the struggle of trust between everyone, the visuals of the planet, the sneaky introduction of the Sith Code... And who was that female voice within the holocron? I'm praying for Darth Traya / Kreia. I can't even fathom how the team can top this ever again, but I'm sure it will happen, and I won't be disappointed!

That doesn't mean to say he is not Rahm Kota.As they did with Ben solo and Jacen they have done the same with Kanan and Rahm as Pablo even said they are both based on Zatoichi. Kanan is Asian and so Is Kota. They are taking things from Kotas character and putting it into Kanan.
+RYZOFT Studios Kannan is Caleb Dume apprentice of Master Billaba who sacrificed herself during order 66 to save Caleb. Caleb left his past behind him and renamed himself Kannan Jarrus. He was reluctant to open his past to ezra and become his Master as Kannan had never became a master. However he did when he found Ezra had opened the holocron and had the abillities to become the start of a new generation of Jedi.
My absolute love to Kevin Kiner in this episode. I cried and laughed and squealed at the end of this episode (for a WHILE) for everything it was and everything that it meant. But I kept replaying that last scene with the all the pathways each character has ahead of them and the MUSIC just sets that whole montage up on a grand cinema scale. It just has this atmosphere and knowledge that "everything has changed and we need to keep moving forward". I think that composition can count as one of your greats Kiner. BEAUTIFUL.
he went through his trials and the Jedi Temple on lothal. he was even knighted. I mean it's probably not how it traditionally happened... but the order is almost extinct so I think giving tradition a little leeway is acceptable.

Oh my gosh!!!! NEVER have I felt so emotionally invested in all the characters which meant I was an emotional train wreck at the end! The beauty of this is when I first saw Star Wars when I was a boy it was so different it kinda made me feel uneasy because I'd never seen anything like it before and I loved it! And wow it's happened again, Rebels took me back there!!!! LOVE EVERY MOMENT OF THIS EPISODE!!!

It's almost guaranteed at this point. I'm so fkn excited for it to happen, I knew the moment ezra kept the holocron that that's how they'll recanonize him, hopefully by going into what exactly happened on malachor.
This ... the emotion is killing me. It reminded me of Revenge of the Sith a lot. Kanan is blind. Ezra is on a path to the Dark Side. Ahsoka is ... I was reduced to tears when I saw Rex at the end. This is by far the best episode of Rebels, ever. Can it get better? I hope so. Second to The Clone Wars, this may be one of the best shows of all time.
This episode was crazy! I cried like a baby. Definitely did justice to the characters! That Ahsoka Anakin encounter was perfect. I can go on living now.... actually no!! Ahsoka...I need to know 😢😢😢
Just like that in one episode, something that the rebels couldn't do the whole season, Maul seriously made short work of the inquisitiors and not to mention basically making Kanan the new General Kota from the Force Unleashed

+SuperFry Totally agree man...like in SW we except some throwing out of physics (ships with wings maneuvering in a vacuum, etc) because of the sci-fantasy over sci-fi aspect...but this didn't even look cool it looked hilarious. I can stomach it on the new inquisitor like you said since he is that "jumper" species according to the creators so it's a little easier to swallow...but still a bad idea.

+Aleks i just rewatched that and it may confirm my theory. Ahsoka will learn more about the sith and become anakins apprentice (again) either as a secret apprentice (like galen marek or that other woman) or (grand) inquisitor, since that job application is still open.
At first, I was a little emotional about the ending to this episode (anger, sadness, hopeful to name a few). But after some thinking, I really liked it. It was beautiful. I don't think that Ahsoka will return to Rebels. That show is not her story. Her story has closed it's book so to say... for now. As Master Yoda said, "The Future, always in motion it is."
Yknow, not meaning to sound like a desperate fan boy, but if the sith holocron is going to be playing a big role for Ezra next season, there's still a chance it might teach him about revan from kotor- it could be the voice of Darth traya!
+Hayden Rowse I actually think it will be Revan, I don't think that Obi-wan will ever appear in Rebels (the only thing which would make sense would be a stand alone episode without the Ghost crew). The Leia cameo was pretty weird as it was, considering that later on she somehow "forgot" to mention about that one time she met two Jedi before ANH.

This takes place about 5 years before Return of the Jedi, or a little further back? I thought the revealed part of Anakin's face looked too much like it did in Clone Wars, before he got burned.
Yeah but it has been 15-16 years and apparently he was using the darkside to slowly heal himself to the point he wouldn't need the suit, but I agree it doesn't look too damaged

+M. Strain Jr. I think you guys have it all wrong, it was meant to look like how Ahsoka knew him, but with a shade of evil, hence the yellow eye. It was symbolic of her trying to peel back the layers of evil and bring him back to his normal self. Not everything has to be about perfect representation. It was also meant to be a bi of a flashback/forward to Luke on Dagobah, except he saw what he could be, Ahsoka saw what Anakin once was.
+M. Strain Jr. The only time we ever see Vader without his helmet is after he has been without it for extended periods or his support systems are failing. Having only recently sustained minor damage to his helmet so his skin pigmentation will not be that big of an issue since he would not be suffering hypoxia. But you can see some evidence of scarring. I'm curious how the hell he kept his eyebrows!
The Star Wars marketing team is doing a great job this year in all aspects. I was expecting more things to be revealed in this last episode but that was naive of me. Great finale nonetheless and a big bravo to the everyone that has worked on Rebels throughout the seasons.
I wonder if it'll be a crossguard lightsaber... The reason I think that's a possibility, is because of the S2 trailer, it really made it look like Ezra ended up with that lightsaber. Now based on the fact that it immediately fizzled out and he drops it, it would seem that the S2 trailer was just deliberately misleading, but I think it could just as much have been hinting at the future I don't think its super likely, but I think there's a little glimpse of possibility

I found it ironic how the two original inquisitors died.
It's kind of ironic that one of the members of the cast (Sam Witwer/Maul) made Kanan blind, the same way he did with Kota as Starkiller.

he went through his trials and the Jedi Temple on lothal. he was even knighted. I mean it's probably not how it traditionally happened... but the order is almost extinct so I think giving tradition a little leeway is acceptable.

This is indisputably the best episode from Rebels, on par with episodes "The Lawless" and "The Wrong Jedi" from The Clone Wars.

Like it?! LOVE IT! Ahsoka vs. Vader on Malachor in the Sith Temple is one of if not, arguably the best scene in all of SW... Luke on Gideon's ship can definitely give it a run for its money
Oh my gosh!!!! NEVER have I felt so emotionally invested in all the characters which meant I was an emotional train wreck at the end! The beauty of this is when I first saw Star Wars when I was a boy it was so different it kinda made me feel uneasy because I'd never seen anything like it before and I loved it! And wow it's happened again, Rebels took me back there!!!! LOVE EVERY MOMENT OF THIS EPISODE!!!

This ... the emotion is killing me. It reminded me of Revenge of the Sith a lot. Kanan is blind. Ezra is on a path to the Dark Side. Ahsoka is ... I was reduced to tears when I saw Rex at the end.
This is by far the best episode of Rebels, ever. Can it get better? I hope so. Second to The Clone Wars, this may be one of the best shows of all time.

Just like that in one episode, something that the rebels couldn't do the whole season, Maul seriously made short work of the inquisitiors and not to mention basically making Kanan the new General Kota from the Force Unleashed

+SuperFry Totally agree man...like in SW we except some throwing out of physics (ships with wings maneuvering in a vacuum, etc) because of the sci-fantasy over sci-fi aspect...but this didn't even look cool it looked hilarious. I can stomach it on the new inquisitor like you said since he is that "jumper" species according to the creators so it's a little easier to swallow...but still a bad idea.

Excellent episodeexcept for jsut 1 little detail......the way the inquisitors were using their lightsabers like helicopter rotors was just plain goofy.

+Aleks i just rewatched that and it may confirm my theory. Ahsoka will learn more about the sith and become anakins apprentice (again) either as a secret apprentice (like galen marek or that other woman) or (grand) inquisitor, since that job application is still open.

Is it just me when I say that the voice of the temple when it was speaking to Ezra sounded like Asajj Ventress?
At first, I was a little emotional about the ending to this episode (anger, sadness, hopeful to name a few). But after some thinking, I really liked it. It was beautiful. I don't think that Ahsoka will return to Rebels. That show is not her story. Her story has closed it's book so to say... for now. As Master Yoda said, "The Future, always in motion it is."

+Hayden Rowse I actually think it will be Revan, I don't think that Obi-wan will ever appear in Rebels (the only thing which would make sense would be a stand alone episode without the Ghost crew). The Leia cameo was pretty weird as it was, considering that later on she somehow "forgot" to mention about that one time she met two Jedi before ANH.

This takes place about 5 years before Return of the Jedi, or a little further back? I thought the revealed part of Anakin's face looked too much like it did in Clone Wars, before he got burned.

Yeah but it has been 15-16 years and apparently he was using the darkside to slowly heal himself to the point he wouldn't need the suit, but I agree it doesn't look too damaged

+M. Strain Jr. I think you guys have it all wrong, it was meant to look like how Ahsoka knew him, but with a shade of evil, hence the yellow eye. It was symbolic of her trying to peel back the layers of evil and bring him back to his normal self. Not everything has to be about perfect representation. It was also meant to be a bi of a flashback/forward to Luke on Dagobah, except he saw what he could be, Ahsoka saw what Anakin once was.
+M. Strain Jr. The only time we ever see Vader without his helmet is after he has been without it for extended periods or his support systems are failing. Having only recently sustained minor damage to his helmet so his skin pigmentation will not be that big of an issue since he would not be suffering hypoxia. But you can see some evidence of scarring.

The Star Wars marketing team is doing a great job this year in all aspects. I was expecting more things to be revealed in this last episode but that was naive of me. Great finale nonetheless and a big bravo to the everyone that has worked on Rebels throughout the seasons.

The reason I think that's a possibility, is because of the S2 trailer, it really made it look like Ezra ended up with that lightsaber. Now based on the fact that it immediately fizzled out and he drops it, it would seem that the S2 trailer was just deliberately misleading, but I think it could just as much have been hinting at the future
I don't think its super likely, but I think there's a little glimpse of possibility
You got to admit, Rebels is getting better and this episode is the BEST one yet.
I hope Kalis becomes a rebel with the ghost crew.
