    Thank you for sharing it Dan. I really like how you explain it. Hope you will share more videos in the future about the alignments and code links. I’m following you now. Keep up the great work.

    Thanks for the video Dan. Question for you. My 2016 ram 2500 has a very bad death wobble. I just recently had the tie rod, drag link and track bar replaced (heim joints). After replacing these parts it still has death wobble, what should my caster and toe be at ? Or what else can I look into. Thank you

    • @danthetech6831
      @danthetech6831  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know the exact measurements off hand but caster should be maxed out as far positive as you can get it 5 degrees and toe you want to see slightly set inwards to eachother...I've also seen out of balance tires cause death wobble. I'd also double check your trac bar has no play as well

    I have a question if you don't mind. Can that tie rod coupling be adjusted while the vehicle is on the ground or is there too much pressure from the weight of the truck? Thank you, mine is a 2014 same steering components.

    • @danthetech6831
      @danthetech6831  ปีที่แล้ว

      it can be adjusted on the ground however you will be fighting friction with the tires on the ground...

      @@danthetech6831 Thank you for the quick response. Your work is inspiring and you explain things very well. I installed a 2" Thuren lift kit, thuren track bar and fox shocks kit in my 2014 2500 that has the Cummins. It has a slight pull to the right and I did try a little cross caster and it made no difference. It has about 4.5 degrees of positive caster. I'm suspecting that even though it's said that the drag link adjustment to center the steering wheel doesn't effect toe, I think that it may have added a little toe out to the passenger's side front tire. I'm a DIY type since a kid and try to do everything I can myself.

    • @danthetech6831

      it could also be a radial pull meaning the tire try swapping front tires side to side and see if the pull changes

      Hello again, I did try swapping out the tires and it has the same pull to the right. Wish I was closer to your shop to bring it there, but I'm 2 states over. Before I lifted it, it had no pull at all and I'm the original owner with 49k miles on it. There's a lot of "chain" stores around here for tire/alignments and the staff is questionable. I have that weird feeling if I bring it somewhere, it will end up being worse than before lol.

    dude. i just had my 3500 alignment twice and it's still dragging to the right, i just had a new synergy drag link and tie rods installed what the hick is wrong??

    • @danthetech6831
      @danthetech6831  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you may need an adjustable upper balljoint on the right side if you have camber issue, or it could be a radial pull meaning it's the tire try swapping the front tires side to side and see if the pull changes

      @@danthetech6831 I'm never buying adjustable balljoints ever again lol, they're a nightmare. I'll try the wheel swap first, of it doesn't get better am taking the synergy system and put the stock back 😂 that's how much i hate adjustable balljoints lol

GUESS WHAT??! aa ibwas swapping the front tires, one tire was wavy AF!! i put the spare tire on and voala the truck drove straight, the only issue now is that toe is straight too and the truck keeps swaying, i have to set the toe little inwards. thank you for ur advice🙏 i don't know how i didn't check the tires before, guess coz they're relatively new

      there is an adjustable ball joint.for the upper ball joint to adjust camber but you have to specify you want an adjustable ball joint

    Hey Dan I did a leveling kit and my steering wheel was at 45 degrees when tracking straight. I went to adjust it (everything is stock, leveling kit was a block above the shocks). and my driver tire is toe out when my passenger is straight and both adjustment points are all the way in. Any ideas?

  • @StevesBeyondRepair

    So my search is proven....on a dodge 2500 or 3500 4x4, you just did a toe adjustment. Un Adjustable camber, and minimal caster adjustment (only caster adjustment for both sides same amount regardless of differences from side to side that might be necessary). How much for a toe in on a dodge 4x4 since that's all that can be adjusted? Gotta be inexpensive since that's all you can do!

      thrust angle alignment is 79.99 at my shop a 4 wheel alignment is 99.99

    • @danthetech6831
      @danthetech6831  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      On another note if you have adjustable upper balljoints then camber can be adjusted and that would still be considered a thrust angle alignment and the same price even with adjusting the upper ball joint to correct any camber problems
