@@chaoticcar6231 if you make the Kobold cute enough they will adopt it, trust me. I am totally not saying this because we have an adoption problem in our main campaign. (we have two children, two assassins that where sent after us but treated so badly we decided they're better with us, a whole group of Orcs and a bunch of animals that mostly my character adopted. Our DM has just accepted it at this point. )

Second if any of you remember the original Despicable Me, you Know there is a scene when Vector kidnaps the three girls and shoots a series of heat seeking misses at Gru, he then dodge them all. According to the speed of an average ballistic missile (1900 mph) and the size of the missile according to his ankle size, Gru can perceive and move at such a speed that the missiles only move 9.5 miles per hour, 0.5% of their original speed. Plus after this Gru punches a shark and it is paralyzed meaning its spine is probably shattered, to remind you it would require a force greater than 3,000 newtons to fracture the spine. That's equal to the impact created by a 500-pound car crashing into a wall at 30 miles per hour.

Personally, I think "I'd rather die" would organically set up two bad ending potential. Either your life is now on the line so Barret will consider that, or it's more selfish to your want above all. She deserves better means you prioritize her and it's already clear you are not even considering handing her over. But I imagine that one choice probably only changes some small dialogues. And of course there's the matter of what the creator is going to do based on those choices.
And yeah, feels like a proof of concept game.

The problem is those two sentences are the same "I'd rather die, because she deserves better then being locked in a cage." Or on the other side "She deserves better, I'd rather die then hand her over to you."
If you legitimately care would you not be willing to risk your life especially after the previous choices? You risked your life defending her already... so you'd rather die then let others harm her.
When presenting the player with choices you need to read combinations of them like a sentence, if they can form a phrase akin to "I'd rather die because she deserves better." then it is a false choice you'd expect in AAA games or more importantly very poorly worded and a confusing choice with no clear meaning.
Imagine being told to pick "Do you want a Burger or Fries in your Number 1 meal from Mcdonalds?"
You... do understand what a Number 1 is, menu number 1, you get a Burger and Fries?

That's it. Sold. Done. I love the premise alone; I'm such a sucker for a good badass/survivor and kid duo story. I'd love to see an expanded version of it or a sequel, even.

This was great, I dig the premise. I'm a big fan of the Anti Anti-Christ trope and this worked pretty well using the idea. Del and Barrett against the world, just trying to make it to the beach. The art is strong too, I was impressed by how many different expression portraits they had. I'm with Manly, I'd love to see a sequel or expanded version of this.
I too really love when people realise that if Fallen angels exist,then logically the opposite also could work on some level.Charlie and Satina are the best demons ever (yes,better than the OSP satan)

_A nice mother/daughter game_
It was heartwarming. I liked Del's roughness be gentled by Barrett's innocence. And it makes sense to feed yourself as the adult... it is similar survival thought in putting on your own oxygen mask before you help a child or other passenger, or making sure you can swim safely before jumping in to save a drowning person.
I liked the animation and the story.

I just love character designs that have companions riding on their shoulders. I always loved Jak and Daxter in that regard. There's also a book called Dungeon Crawler Carl that has a sentient House Cat as a companion so I just think it's badass having someone ride on your shoulders

The pixel art is pretty good, and the little chibi is cute as hell. To bad its fairly short. The good ending was heartwarming though.
I want a Fostering Apocalypse 2. Where Del and the demon girl have a massive tower of a home and they live on the very top floor and act like a caring family. And in that 2nd game you would play as somebody else who is in search of the demon girl so your must ascend the tower and face the dangers within.
Underrated comment
Perhaps where Barrette is the main character and she must choose her own path. The tower idea is good but mayhaps it is the source of the decay and she must choose rather to save the earth, destroy it, or do nothing and let it rot. The first two options would likely be where a gate to hell is opened and she turns out to be their queen. The third she opens the gate, enters it and closes the gate.

The artstyle was cool and I loved the characters' design! But I really wish the game was longer, I feel like because of it's length it kind of rushed trough all the story points. I like this "parent\child" dynamic Del and Berrett develop, but it feel like they didn't spend enough time with each other to form a good bond. Of course, some days probably passed in game, but since we as an audiense didn't get to see most of their trip, their conversations and interactions in general, their close friendship seems a bit forced at the end
i don't remember when i last saw a black protag for one of these types of games so this is refreshing!

Del looks like guts, and the whole things atmosphere looks like it was set after Griffith sacrificed the band of hawks.

That was a very cute game. Honestly i got some Lisa vibes from it a bit. What came to my mind was the trope where a strong big brute is accompanied by a cute smaller girl lol. Its kinda nice to see barret have her own choices and that it wasnt set in stone for her to eat the world even though thats why she was brought into the world. I would think that a sequel with the two would be cool, but i like how this game was and its length.

I figured I'd cover this, while many other people refer to the outside sources or one scene to note Del is a woman, you can notice their chest better in the walk animation, due to how they normally face slightly facing us it is hard to tell but you can even make out a line defining their chest... and look back at their covered face image you can see traits very slightly.
It is post apocalypse so a lot of stereotypical "feminine" traits aren't going to appear.
The game handles this really well, rather then focusing on "Del is a strong independent woman who needs no help." they create a good character who is strong in her own merits without needing to be shoehorn in a message. It is done in a natural way that with the above... actually means you won't notice she is a she due to our biases as a society for many.
In a post apocalypse the line between male and female would blur a lot, unlike mainstream media would have you think, as both males and females would have to invest extreme amounts of effort into their day to day life causing people to become bulky in the same way.
This also applies to genders as well, we are all the same when you take away things that make us different. We are all humans.
