- Head out with Dean from Grim Reaper Lures to try out some of his awesome lures for catching fish. UV powdered coated and a unique shape these lures are made to last the distance.
Made locally here in the Eastern Bay of Plenty
Within minutes we had both hooked on to a couple of nice snapper and the lures were definitely enticing the fish to bite as they move just above the bottom.

Amazing! Research and Development Fishing Trip. Those lures are Awesome; Dave and you are like fish magnets. It's uncanny that the fish practically jump into the boat!
It's not always like that though with fishing 🙂
Glad you had an awesome time. An awesome video
Thanks Eileen, it was a lot of fun on the smaller rods being pro active catching fish
Great video, good bit of mahi
Awesome day for fishing on the water, nice one..
I think I'm addicted to it now 😅
Awesome day out you two, I already miss fishing up there. Those grim reapers are magic lures 👍
That was a lot of fun Mark, can't believe I've never tried it before. Your name was mentioned too did you notice? 🙂
@@WekaDigitalMediaNZ haha, yeah now I noticed - I just rewatched. First time around I got distracted and didn't watch all the way to the end. I'm hungry now after watching the ending.
So good to see you out enjoying an awesome fishing trip. Hope Rubba is doing ok🐾🎣
Still got the camp vid to edit but the serenity got ruined. Rubba had an operation, back to normal now
Yup better add grim reaper to the party awesome stuff Mike and dean awesome day awesome footage wish I was there
Couldn't believe how much fun it was and the hard hitting on the lure feels awesome 😀
@@WekaDigitalMediaNZ some of us only dream of that experience good on you bro love the footage man awesome work
That was a great catch Mike, and the food sublime. Well done.😊
The fishing was way better than the eating it Deb 😃
And thanks Dean.😊
Awesome slay up, Mike and Dean.A good informative video too on how to use them. They doing the damage on those snappers 😎Mean feast too bro .
Couldn't believe how much fun it was Rob, little lures and nice takes on them. Went out tried the 24 gram ones on same rod from the beach at the river. Got good distance and good hook ups and staying on, smaller and cheaper too. Next video 🎣
I love that style of fishing though usually I more often go the softy way. Will have to try the slow jigs too. We did try softbaits out of Thornton but struggled to get past the Kahawai.
We managed to get the snapper beneath the kahawai school swimming around and through us a couple of times. 🎣
Yummy!!!!!!🎉🤠👌👌🤙💯👍Nice 😊
Thank you 😋
@@WekaDigitalMediaNZ 🤠👌👌👍
Chur.... No smelly bait, or burley...
How good is that ?
We got the jet boat stuck on that Tarawera River bar once...had to wait for tide to come back in so could drive it off 🤔
That was a big splash alright, just at the end there....
I keep watching to see someone catch a Tarakihi...one day, aye ...
Kia Ora....👍🙏
Big difference ay Glen having no smell of stink bait going soft in the sun. Clean and more exciting I think this style
😮 Better get some grim reapers then, ay ? 😎
Tu meke brother Mike. I better pull that "Pink and white" Reaper out of my photo frame you gifted and take it for a slay..CHUR BROTHER.
Chur brother Rico, hope you are well bro. We went and tried the 24 gram ones on small spin rods with braid and were getting some great distance and hook ups, fish staying on with smaller hooks. Way better fishing 🎣
Mate get that treble of the bottom
Good spinners or lures, but $15 for a blue and white 80grm, sorry my bros that doesn't make sense to me.
I've dropped down to 24 gram on the softbait rod Ray, good distance and hook ups from the beach. I still use the 80 gram you gave me years ago, I just tie good knots and use good line.
Stop moaning bro, if you don't want to buy it then don't buy lol geez
Ehoa! the fishing looked great but the kai at the end looked better, of to mc donalds... :(
