This morning I'm taking delivery of the brand new L20 Boost so I watched this video like a kid at Christmas :D I really enjoyed your explanation and information - thank you for an excellent video :)
@@TechTronic9000thank you! One of the washers (the tear shapes secure ones) was missing. I’ve doubled up on normal washers but not sure if this is a concern or not. What do you think? The wheel is very tight. I was thinking asking for a replacement and checking the wheel regularly in the meantime.
Thank you so much for the video it was really helpful! I have a problem with my saddle tho. Even tho I tightened it a lot it keeps sliding in after some time when I sit. Im afraid I will do damage to the frame if I tighten the bolts more. What should I do ?
Trying to figure out what is the rear axle nut size... The front one is 10mm. But for the rear, the 10mm is not right, so it must be 11mm or 12mm... (My wife has a trailer and we should know, but there is no parts list for this ENGWE L20 e-bike anywhere.)
That is a very detailed video, thank you. I'm looking to purchase this bike and I have noticed on the photos on various stores that on the rear wheel it has some kind of plug on the axle nut with a wire coming out. I may wish to install a different rear rack which means using this not. I'm not sure what this cable/sensor is or whether I can undo it. Do you know what it is and whether I would be able to undo it?
I have bought the bike, I have assembled it according to the instruction book, and from what I see in your video, the only thing that you have done well is to remove the flanges
Thanks for the great review, i just got mine, After fitting the front tire, when I move the bike without pedalling, it stucks a bit and sounds awful and I can hear it is from the front disk. How to fix this?
Considering a commuting purpose in Scandinavian weather conditions, which would you choose between the L20 and Engine X? Although the L20 has a more appealing look, its non-foldable nature balances out this advantage.
I had this problem with my engwe L20 ,the saddle bar broke off ,so engwe suggested a hole new frame ,I received this frame but it’s an L20Se frame and the new problem is there is no way to get all those cables through the frame 😢
Could be a issues with the position of the front shaft washers, that will offset the disk brake leading to problems with the brake and sometimes making it impossible to adjust it.
I looks like it is a great multi-purpose electric bike. I wish it had a second battery option like the M20. I guess you could always carry a spare battery on the large rear rack.
You could wire a second one in parallel eventually, still this bike has quick battery replace so it's easier to swap out. You will see that in the full review which is coming very soon.
Looks nice but I wish there was another battery. I mean the M20 has another battery but not the L20. Besides, I prefer the top tube for better structural integrity
@@karinaazusienis3231 Yes i did ! 1/ Just Hold the accelerator and brake to max in same time 2/ Power On the screen (Hold until you can see "00") 3/ Hold the accelerator for 10 seconds, then release all... and it done ! There is no message, but it will activated !
Thank you so much. I will try and use your advice because the front wheel looks wrong and was making a funny noise.
Glad it helped
Yes mine kept spinning around so now I know I have to click in the washer s
That’s a nice one for getting supplies at the store. Thanks Paul
Yes it's perfect for groceries, you can also fit it with side bags on the rear rack for even more storage.
That handlebar adjustment advise made a lot of sense didn't have a clue what you were saying or trying to explain

Thank you.
Wow. Excellent video. But the front tire has some sound , I think ariund the brake. How can i fix this problem
Well explained, thanks. I was glad to see you drop a few washers, as that's how it is in real life.
That happens when you don't script the video before :) I stutter on the text, drop the washers, I just cut the cuss and swearing out :)
Another great video as always
I'm glad you liked it. Be sure to hit the bell button next to the subscribe as the full review is coming very soon.
amazing video thank you for the review, excited to see the full review

I haven't measured it, for bike axles i usually have and adjustable wrench that I work with.
Hi, i also had problems with the delivery due to the delivery company (broken package)
but finally got mine yesterday!
Usefull video ,well done 😊
Glad it was helpful!

Check the front axle washers order, check and adjust the caliper position.

The X has larger battery so it might have higher range especially in cold climate, but that one is also considerably heavier than the L20

L20 is fat tire, the L20SE is normal tire, I think that wheels will also not fit!
@@TechTronic9000 they say the frame is the same SE and normal but it seems is not easy to change it
Does the L20 use a Bafang branded motor?
yes
No
I had alot of problems with the breaks at the front it was very weird

@@TechTronic9000 after 2 hours i was able to fix it. But yea its a good Ebike for that price anyways. Ty for answer
Can anybody tell me, how to clear the 'Trip-Counter' in the display ??

This would be a nice bike. I say would because mine hasn't worked since i bought it.
If you bought it directly from the official shop then just contact support, they take usually 2-3 days to respond but are very ok and helpful.
Does it have a thorttle
According to description it has a deactivated throttle. It also comes out of the box at class one
Yes it has. It comes by default disabled but you can enable it very easy.
@@TechTronic9000Didn't find the way to activated it 😢
Any idea ?
Has anyone managed to activate the accelerator?

UH..you completely left out how to put the front tire on correctly. Why?
Just watch from 7:18, I explain exactly how to do it and the order of the washers.
they need hydro brakes, they are heavy
While hydraulics are indeed better, the stock cheap ones still have enough breaking power to lock the wheels.
