You mentioned consistent PH. My PH goes from 8.2 to 8.4 throughout the day. Do you think that is too much of a swing? I tried a CO2 scrubber a few years back (at our previous house). At our new house, as long as the humidity and temp aren't too bad I open windows and doors. That by itself has boosted Tank PH from 8.10 to 8.20 at the beginning of the day. Im in North Central Texas and our summer's get hot resulting in lower PH. We're on well water. Im not sure what changed, but I could get 6 months out of my RODI resins. In the last 2 or 3 months, I've been exhausting the Anion resin after only making 200 gallons of RODI. I was going to add one or two additional canisters of Anion. Thoughts???
Nice video, I’m also using kalk for alk dosing, what ph do you keep for your tank and for your kalk mixing bin? Mine is around 8.5, will that be too high for display tank?
i use a combination of halide and leds, i like halides because of how cheep it is to get more par but im sure leds would do the same if the par value is similar, i know many people growing acros with only leds.
Thanks for these videos. Is there a minimum tank size you recommend to start a frag tank from?is it even worth it to starting off with an old 13.5 gallon tank. Also what parameters do you aim for? Thanks
@@7h0m4s the larger the tank the easier, but any size is fine. for parameters i follow the moonshine program, if u want to know any specific parameters lmk

Considering ph dropping at night is normal due to low to no photosynthesis, how big of a deal actually is it to try and avoid/ do you really think it’s halting/disrupting growth nightly?
@@D__fox_89 i would say that it’s not a life of death issue, but a stable ph and alk will help other elements stabilize, so you could potentially be creating a better environment for them to thrive especially acros

to be honest the main thing is having healthy corals, don’t try and flip stuff for a quick profit having return customers is what makes it easy. on the other end of things try and protect yourself every once and a while a customer will try and “scam” (get free coral) make sure you take pictures and precautions so that u are protected in case someone charges back
Nice info bro. It’s a never ending science project!
It would be better if you do wire management

as long as its stable i would not worry

What co2 scrubber media do you use?

If someone is wanting to get started selling corals, how would you recommend finding customers?

Kalk doesn't have a lot of alk. Calcium mainly and pH control
kalk is my main supple of alk and calcium

You didn’t really go into the selling of corals. Any lessons you’ve learned there?
