Come on man. Seriously you did a mad amount of thought and you deserve that 25 and to be proud of that. Luck has a role but I'd say very small not even mentioning. Definitely not to say too much luck . I'm impressed to no end the skill involved here
Solving a cube fast is cool and all. But solving it the most efficiently possible, now that's a challenge ! Make the FMC series happen ! Also GG for 25 moves.
I would ABSOLUTELY love to see an FMC tutorial series! I watched SpeedCubeReivew's FMC series a while back, and it was ok, but he went through stuff so fast and honestly he's kind of crappy at explaining how stuff works (especially NISS, which I really didn't get from his explanation). You, on the other hand, are incredibly good at breaking down cubing techniques so anybody can understand and apply them. Please do this!
Holy shit that 25 was one of the luckiest solutions I've ever seen. :o But it's cool that you actually used basic fmc techniques rather than 100% luck, maybe we'll see a sub-30 mo3 from you in the future. :p
Yeah I was super surprised cause this is like a dream solution (besides the insertion being +6 moves, if I could insert it pure with a cancellation it would be NR LOL)
Thanks! I think I'm capable of sub-30 with enough luck but I wouldn't expect it considering I default to OLL so often cause I'm not great at finding stuff
I want to see more FMC tuts as well. However I think that there are good tutorials as well. I learned FMC from TH-cam and picked up insertions and NISS from them the same day.
Nice job on the 25! I remember my first solve of Mental Breakdown for FMC, I had 21 to 3E but I had about 5 minutes left, so I couldn't find anything at the time. It turns out there was a 26 from insertion finder. I need to work on time management!
You say there's too much luck involved, but you found a solution several moves better than the others who tried it. There's clearly a great deal of thought and skill involved also.
Yeah I guess, but you have 1 hour so you cant really try that much. My friend also did a different 8 move 2x2x3 and ended up with a far worse solution because things didn't end up being as lucky. Sometimes the path you choose just happens to work out and an hour isn't enough to try it all, you sometimes just have to commit to it.
OMG! I always wanted to learn the advanced method for FMC but none of current tutorials on TH-cam helped me! I would love to see a FMC tutorial by you!
Did anyone else notice that the scramble is 26 moves long? J perm's solution was 1 move shorter than the scramble! Also, J perm, we want the FMC tutorial!
For FMC, Kociemba/Domino is very useful, you should try it! I actually use it most of the time, and I've got a 17stm/20htm using it, you probably don't care but the point is it's really cool!
Please do a FMC tutorial, I'd love to see how its done!

2:19 Can we take a moment to appreciate how neat his handwriting is
no
It's not that neat
That FMC stuff is so fascinating! I'd love to see more content about it.
You explained it so well, I think we need a fmc tutorial for advanced methods (NISS and insertions)
Yes, we do need more algorithms which you've talked earlier!...
0:16 I like how the Israeli NR is 51 moves.
You're very good at explaining, would love to see some FMC videos for beginners from you!

The Cubix I need that
Just thinking that how people learn cube when there wasn't *J PERM*
I used dan brown video
i used an online guide i printed out
half youtube videos, and writing down algorithms as to this day idk what each turn is named

Fmc series.
I litterally wrote about an FMC tutorial series in the last video!
Wow. Never tried fewest moves before. Right up my alley though. I love analyzing things to be as efficient as possible. Good solve J!

I want to see more FMC tuts as well. However I think that there are good tutorials as well. I learned FMC from TH-cam and picked up insertions and NISS from them the same day.

I've always been interested in FMC and you put out the best tutorials, so please do!
This video ids\\s one of your most meaningful, at least to me, as it goes on about focusing on certain events.

Now you are second in Canada!! If you have gotten 24 moves then you will get the NR.

Awesome view of fmc! This explained to me the basics of insertions and skeletons

i watched this with absolutely 0 FMC knowledge!!!!! That's why this solution was so mind-blowing to me
