- Rambutan requires approximately 107 to 111 days from fruit ready to harvest, and these days set to increased fruit weight.Rambutan is one of an evergreen tree and it’s fruit is very delicious.It’s binominal name is Nephelium lappaceum and it derived from Sapindaceae family.It has a juicy flesh and it uses for our health benefits.This fruit contains very good source of Vitamin C.This is one of Malasian Fruit.Rambutans available in two colours,ie, red and yellow.

The way you pick the fruit is wrong .. you can pluck with a tool in the form of a rag .. you do not damage the stem of fruit .. for maximum results you can prune the old tree branch .. your tree bear very little fruit .. your tree does not bear maximum fruit Because of the wrong quotation

Rambutan is easy to eat you just have to bite the skin and take off the peeling but if it's opened don't eat the whole thing

Ranbutab may take 3-5 years depending on grafting or seeding
budding rambutan take maximum 2 year for seeding
For the best fruitation it takes about 5 years from seed to full tree and picking them when that yellow and small still will actually hurt the tree. First couple of years you have to let the fruit mature and bring out the nutrients to the branches and that feeds the health and strength to the whole tree . Cutting to soon don't allow the tree to mature fully and maximize your crop. Try it on a few trees and watch the difference. My in-laws have about 25 acres now of full bloom Rambutan in Honduras.Took around 12 years to get it to this stage. Little by little. Now I want to bring it here to America and stop getting ripped off by selling it to other countries who then bring it to America as there own. Honduras does need to help the smaller farmers get together and make a team so they can in return support each other and stimulate the Economy like the banana pineapple watermelon and coffee that are all in Aldi being sold in America from Smaller Honduran Farmers.

You can if you keep the seed from what you eat and wrap it in a damp napkin and wait till it sprout out and transfer it to a soil inside your house. Till its ready to move it outside .
You can not grow this fruit in America from the seed found in the fruit that you purchased to eat . When any fruit comes from out of country and goes through our ports the whole shipment is actually zapped with radiation to kill any bugs and bacteria . That unfortunately also kills the seeds in it as well. You have to go to Amazon (be careful of fakes) or any reliable seed company international. You can call the USDA in your state and they will give you the information on best company to purchase from.
