To clear up the misconception on media coverage on the planned housing subsidies and family support in the small Swiss mountain municipality of Albinen has led to numerous applications having been made from throughout the world.

To get to the point:
1. You must invest 200k ChF (which gives you a shack, not a house in Switzerland)
2. You must stay min. 10 years
3. You must have citizenship or residency permit C. This excludes 99% of those who are interested.
4. Paybacks are 25K for Adult, 50K for couples and 10K for each child. If you are a family with 2 kids, meaning you invest 200K, you receive 70K, you still must pay 130K CHF to move there.
5. Pretty bad deal for anyone.
6. People from the canoton of Vallais have a reputation of being greedy, and this is exemplary.
7. It's not a scam, just a very bad deal for those who attempt to move, and an excellent deal for the municipality.

Yes. But the easiest to get C is just marry a Swiss. You can get C if you are married, or Citizenship if you have lived and worked in Switzerland for 5 years.
