One of my favorite species for a small tank are Golden White Cloud Minnows. They’re underrated. Especially considering how colorful they are with their bright orange bodies, red stripe, red fins, and blue eyes. They are very inexpensive and hearty as well.
My white clouds are in a 45p. I started with ten (Amano shrimp went in first)… I’ve lost two to jumping even though I have a ton of floating plants. Two years in and eight of them are still there and doing very well.
so helpful, would love to have another nanofish video soon. In the next one can you talk about which of the top 10 would go well together? And can you add what you SHOULDNT add to the tank like a pea puffer etc?

Great video and great channel. I have a heavily planted 125l fluval tank. Currently got following: 20 cherry shrimp 5 amanos 16 celestial pearl danios 6 glowlight danios 8 normans lampeyes How much capacity do I have left in your opinion? I was thinking of adding 15 tetras neons/cardinals (for the blue and red) and maybe a pair or 1 feature fish. Any ideas? Or any alternate ideas?
I really enjoy your videos. I’m a beginner. I’m cycling a Fluval Flex 9 at the moment. What would you recommend? I would like 2 different species if possible. Thank, you.
Welcome to the hobby! Great aquarium to get started with and you're already ahead of the game by cycling it - unfortunately, some just don't and it's terrible for the fish. Celestial Pearl Danios are great in that size and I also love Pork Chop Rasboras. Enjoy and please ask any questions you have along the way - here to help you!
People debate this topic - for me, I think you can do around 6 of these total. Technically a few kore but I like to stay on the low end. You might be happier with 6 of one type - both school well. Cherry’s are more mellow. Rasboras will give you a little more excitement. Both are great 👍
Personally, I would do 2. I’m sure some would say you could even go up to four or five because of the gallonage, but I like to take into account the fact that not all of that is swimmable because of plants and hardscapes
You could take it to three - I did that in a nano tank I have at home with some Rasboras. Personally, I like staying on the lower end of the gallonage. In other words, if I could “technically“ do five because of the size of the tank, I would still not do more than three.
Good video, though wish you used gallons or liters instead of saying 30cm tank or 50cm, etc... Given tanks come in different shapes and sizes, the volume of water would be a better way to describe size.
Excuse me, I really enjoyed your video but BIG question: how much long these tiny fishes live? I bought some grey corydoras and a group of cardinal tetras (the ones red and blue, very similar to neon tetras) I was told that all these fishes can live up to max 5 years... so I wonder if spend other money for these very tiny fishes is worthy or not 😮
I think you will find a lot of people saying yes. That said I know of a 2 gallon aquarium that has a few cardinal tetras in it and they’ve been doing fine for almost a year. Shrimp is a great choice for a 2 gallon tank!!
I love these other options as I'm so over seeing neon, cardinal & most tetras in general, as well as the harlequin rasboras. Rainbowfish & other rasboras are nice to see for a change, as well as danios. I've got rummynose & galaxy (CPDs) rasboras & love them, though they are a bit too shy, but look amazing in my heavily-planted 10g long tank.

Totally agree. Just got my first group of 5. So pretty!
Second this! Got some mixed with long fin white clouds and they both look really nice
I just built my UNS 45E Paludarium and I will be putting a 5 to 7 White Cloud Minnows in there.

Those are neat... but my tanks run too hot for them, sadly.
This guy is so likable, he’s got me seriously considering getting into aquascaping lol
Do it! 😁
He definitely encouraged me and I don’t regret it at all
Bro these videos are sick! please keep uploading, not a lot of people make videos like these

Awesome and great idea!
When I see your videos, I loose a shoe running to watch. So good to see you. Great video as usual.
I've recently introduced some ruby loaches in my CPD tank. They're very playful fish and I love the colours.
I'd love to see a video on your favorite fish combinations in a nano aquarium.
Can never go wrong with pgymy corys!
but they need min. 60l and fine sand

Medaka ricefish, you can breed so many colors & patterns just like Koi. Cold or warm water.
Blue Neon Rasboras/ Axelrodi are in my top 10 but those are all great as well!
I love my medaka ricefish and endlers.
WE NEED NANO LIST PART 2 BROTHER ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT LINE UP❕️❕️❕️💯👍🏾👍🏾

Sounds like a beautiful setup and it is getting pretty full! Maybe a pop of color with a few cherry barbs?
THANKS FOR T HE LIST. I AM PREPARING TO DO A 20 GA LONG PLANTED.

Axelrodia risei, have not kept them but will definately in the future. They do pop out in darker habitats which many green plants I think.
What would be best in a 5 gallon with blue cherry shrimp (won’t eat shrimplets)?
I love Ember Tetras and they would be fine!
@ how many in a 5 gallon?

Celestial pearl Daniel in 40 cm and 60 cm tank how many male and female groups can add
Is that about 23 liters? I wouldn’t do more than 3 total. I have 2 in a 34 liter. Sorry if I’m misunderstanding the size!

I think if you spend money on the fish you want to see and those that you connect with then it’s never a waste 😊
What are some good nano dither fish that can bring out the shy ones
u should keep just 5 fish in nano aquarium... thesy could be shy because it is too small...
This week I put frozen bloodworms in for my shrimp and one of the Chilli Rasboras got one stuck! Luckily it came free after a while.
why not guppy ?
Not everyone could make the list! But we love guppies ♥️
Guppies does not belong in nano tanks bcz they need more space
Is 2 gallon aquarium too small?
I think you will find a lot of people saying yes. That said I know of a 2 gallon aquarium that has a few cardinal tetras in it and they’ve been doing fine for almost a year. Shrimp is a great choice for a 2 gallon tank!!
mine is:
1. Betta Albimarginata
2. Dario dario
3. Boraras Brigittae
4. Corydoras pygmaeus
5. Paracheirodon axelrodi
6. Carinotetraodon travancoricus
7. Parosphromenus spp.
8. Puntius titteya
Paracheirodon axelrodi arent nano fish? the need tanks min. 80cm long
Finally someone mentions the small rainbowfish :D Love my Luminatus. Don't confuse them with the Paskai though ;) They're different breeds.
In my tank cpd don't do well. I love them but...
