The 5/10 damage profile issue is such that sometimes it even feels bad being the person rolling well with it - last night i got to rampage a Gutlord into my opponents deployment group - killed all 3 of them with a minimum of 20 damage on each attack - the game basically ended on the spot - powerful, but maybe not healthy?
@@wargamesontoast at the same time though, they need a way to represent that some fighters hit harder than others - everyone capped out at a 3/6 profile, but stronger fighters having a lot more attacks doesn't feel right either
Vexmor seems to have been designed without any thought about Blessings. My small gaming group doesn't play with Blessings so Vexmor's not been as clear a choice as they otherwise would be. Lascivyr might well be a better choice, but without triples might not be striking too hard.
Do you feel the cost is the issue, because Gutlord & Mollog have the same damage? I feel like the Gutlord is over the top with 3 A, but an unblessed Mollog doesn't feel ridiculous because he's so expensive & Gitz are so swingy anyway it just goes into the narrative aspect of the fight if I whiff. (Edit: & awkwardly I'm not taking him for the damage, but for the unique board control he offers)
Vexmors cost is a huge factor. For 180 points blessed, you get the power of an unblessed Mollog. Heck, you even get more threat range than Mollog. For well over 100 points less. I feel like 5/10 profiles are simply too powerful and with the likes of Vexmor, it’s all or nothing. Feast of famine. It ends up being this consistently bad feeling model in game. Mollog is so expensive that I don’t mind as much, and the Gutlord got a price hike in the FAQ, which helps limit him somewhat. I’d rather see the profile reworked though.
I really wish folks would just ban blessings on bladeborn and any other named characters. And _maybe_ only allow bladeborn to be played as part of their main faction, rather than as allies everywhere.
Due to the optional nature of blessings, i don’t think GW design with them specifically on mind - or they simply forget to factor it in. I’ve seen narrative folk run blessings and with that format you can get Vexmor to A3 base, and at that point, you’ve got yourself a Gutlord at a killer discount. I would like to see 5/10 profiles reworked/removed and I wouldn’t mind seeing Blessings cut, honestly.
@@wargamesontoast I wish it weren't removed, as it helps some of the more lacklustre fighters to become good, and it's less feelsbad when you finish a list and have 25 points leftover. Can also lead to funky things like 10 points leftover making a monsta killa monkey do 5 damage on crits XD

5/10 profiles are really nasty and way too swingy for sure.

@kidzurag the issue partially comes from the one roll system Warcry uses. I’m planning a video dissecting the benefits and drawbacks of it :)
@@wargamesontoast looking forward to it
lol love the intro
Tah XD

I think blessings are a consistent oversight within the GW design space, sadly

A cunning coincidence, or conscious clairvoyance?

Blessings on uw are fine. This dude has play around. It’s okay.
this takes away from the game as a whole. he is far from broken honestly. I hav esunk at least 20+ games with and against him.
