We have just bought and used the varkala 280 (the slightly smaller version of the one in the video). It is absolutely fantastic!! So easy to put up, and take down, quality materials throughout, and so impressed with everything provided in one bag, right down to the pegs and mallet, wheel arch cover, draught skirt, storm straps etc. As it was all new to us, it took us a little longer to put up, as you are questioning yourself as to if you are doing things correctly, but i know for a fact that we will take 15 mins maximum once we have used this a couple of times to...... feed it through the awning rail, blow the beams up, and then peg it out. We are a younger couple and believe this is the future. Im sure the older ones are looking at us thinking it will never catch on lol.
We just lay it down so the outside is on the ground, then we find the awning rail bit (top). Make sure its laid as flat as it will. So i am now kind of looking down the three beams. My wife goes to the bottom and we fold in towards the middle beam, (don't fold it all in one go, it might take a couple of part folds). Then fold it one more time by bringing the left bit ontop of the right bit The aim is to make it approx the size of the bag. Then just go to one end and roll quite tightly (but not too tight that you might strain something). After about three or four times of doing this we are now pretty good at it. Ps, we always use some tarpaulin type material on the ground so that we don't damage the fabric on any sharp objects.
