The shrine handmaiden sells torches for dark areas. Good job on Vordt, he has a really well loved OST. And make sure to explore Undead Settlement! Lots of things around here.
Vordt’s theme song is one of my favorite in the whole series. I listen to it when I work out sometimes

Glad you are enjoying the game, and i like that you use a lot of change ups in your attack pattern. it adds to the enjoyment of watching.
Explore the fire link shrine more - especially the roof and the back areas. And check the areas inside regularly for npcs. By the end of the game, firelink shrine should be like a town square. I dont know if you noticed but you already ran straight past a new npc in the shrine (up the top, behind the thrones).
Its amusing watching you pass through these areas when you have no idea what they will become. You’ll see!!
And, yes, there are illusory walks that must be hit or rolled into.
You can launch running attacks with the claymore. Just like it sounds - run at your opponent and attack without stopping. You can also jump attack. Both are heavier damage (and faster), The combat is way better than ds1 or ds2.
That invader was a purple. Not sure if it was a real player.

@@mmeiruplays There is a very difficult jump required at the back of the shrine, outside. Not difficult as in you will fall to your death a lot, just difficult in that you might conclude - after 15 shots at it - that its not possible to do the jump. It is. it just requires pinpoint accuracy. Im telling you this because your parkour skills are, um, not great and I dont want you to give up on this one.
Girl, you are some serious fighter. Very few manage to beat Vordt in two attempts. I would advise you to level up Vitality a few times to be able to use heavier armour, but of course, it's up to you. One thing, though. Buy a torch from the Shrine Handmaiden, it will be needed soon enough.
A few tips (no spoilers, I swear):
Every time you fight you get dirty with blood. That's why you looked like a black fighter.
Don't rush into a new area without surveying. You can never know what's in there.
Don't worry if your weapon is OP. Soon enough, it won't be.
After killing your opponents, explore. Always explore.
The blue "mist" you had around you is from the ring Greirat gave you.
If you can lock on, that's an enemy, always.
Always exhaust npc's dialogue until they start repeating the lines.
Explore Firelink Shrine. There's a tree, which you might want to examine every now and then.

I'm half way through replaying Elden Ring before the DLC, and this video reminded me how much better I think DS3 is to play. It's really good.

I think he reason you are so good in this games is because you're bold and always strike first. Bloodborne sure taught you how to play on the aggressive side, shoot first and ask questions later; while Dark Souls 1 (my first) taught me to play slow and methodical, on the defensive side.
Hahaha pizza war!! 😂 Hmm yeah that makes sense for sure. Elden Ring was my first and Bloodborne my second fromsoft game and they both are very fast paced. Buuut I am getting destroyed in the next episode hahah just wait and see!

@@mmeiruplays same for the dlc, but i will not play it on launch, currently grinding souls game for max achievements... ds1 and 2 done but 3 is ... painfull xD after im finished with it i will do elden ring with 100% completion
The broad sword makes their life short, but the claymore makes them pay more

broadsword is a little beast in this game tho fr! Ran it in the early game on a 2nd play through as a fire infusion and that shit ATE! It just suffers from short reach and no R2 thrust compared to other straight swords.

53:43 Brightness is fine! Only a few areas are this dark and it's on purpose. Also, you may want to go back here and look for a hole on the floor. ⛄
Some quality of life tips:
1. The blue aura was the ring. It raises your defense when you're low on health;
2. You can lock on the cage enemies when they're real;
3. The Pus of Men (black goop enemies) can be killed before the goop appears if you rush it. It makes runbacks easier when you already know which enemies have it.

Yeah the Undead Settlement is definitely creepy. A lot of areas in this game scared me actually 💀
Don't forget to walk around Firelink Shrine, you may find some interesting friends there (which can sometimes blend in the environment really well, you actually passed by one** hahaha). Also, you picked up a new Estus shard!

Also I think your weapon damage is fine! You can deal some amount, but that's the beauty of two handed weapons. But you do you! I think the game can't be overly hard to established players as the likes of you since it has to be doable hard for newcomers.

You don't know how much I'm enjoying your run on DS3, you even noticed the statue of the knight intent on beheading himself, and the armor present throughout the square in Lothric, the ones with the red cloak, were all headless. DS3 lore is all based on the Christian religion and sacred beheading is part of it.
A little advice, in DS3 the repairing powders are absolutely useless, just sit at the bonfire and the weapon restores automatically, and they break much less easily than in DS2, I hope this advice helps you with the management of your souls.
Fromsoftware worlds are full of beautiful details and I try pay attention to them as much as possible.

Excellent, more! Play your own game, too many people talk about being overpowered or over leveled. Do not concern yourself with such things. Miyazaki would not have given you a Claymore with enough titanite shards to upgrade it if he thought it would be too easy. You know better. It is YOUR skill that makes certain enemies easy. I believe, you might meet some unseemly types in the road ahead and you might start saying "I NEED to upgrade my weapon". Great Playthrough, thanks for sharing! I would watch another Bllodborne run!!
