A great, well detailed showcase! It was a pleasure to watch with all the series references and in-depth explanations. Thanks for making the video. Cheers!
I've been hoping too use this for a drug runner playthrough but didnt know enough about the mod until now, so thx for this. Now will this information, it sounds like the way i want to do it is, sell off common drugs, and keep the luciferium stuff for myself to enhance my own 'Elite Guard' to protect the operation. Overall pretty damn cool!
I was half asleep when I started this, and the "shut up nerd" part scared me awake, as I thought a neighbor was yelling at me because they heard my TV 😅
When I saw the name of this mod in the Workshop, I sort of rolled my eyes. Way too many mods just offer straightforward workarounds for the game's various soft caps, and in the end you just have a little utopia surrounded by turrets o' doom and no further concerns. This mod seems great, with its horrendously diminishing returns requiring hard choices. Thanks for another awesome review.
I have been on Luciferium since 0.16 and I am loving it. 10 Luc lasts one person one year, so when you are opening a shrine a year you will be fine. If you don't feel like littering the world map with abandoned colonies, use setup camp or ReGrowth: Core
Considering this mod adds Atmospheric aspects would be awesome to see them add a mod for this that makes it so Luciferium Weather can happen, like Rain and Fog. :o
Void is a wonderful mod with god awful balance. It doesn't even need to be toned down THAT much, just enough to not make it dumb as heck. They move way too fast, and have way too many bionics. But ultimately, they're a fun enemy to use big guns against (especially with Combat Extended). It's a fine mod as long as you purposefully play them off as rivals and *do not use* any of their gear.
I totally get why you used Venom Snake for the thumbnail here, but it's very hilarious in context of him using an e-cig in game and smoking basically herbal absinthe
Getting to know just how in-depth and balanced this is makes me very happy, since I've had this mod installed for quite a while but always been scared to invest into it. Now that this is done, Ushanka's other mods like Glitterworld Uprising and Biological Warfare deserve videos of their own down the line. Whether you get to those sooner or later, your breakdowns are always immensely appreciated.
Great mod review. It sure is fascinating all the cool new toys you can make... Though, it is best we remember. "Those who play with the devil's toys will be brought by degrees to wield his sword."
Yep, it'll keep them happy. Just watch out for the OD chance of lifter, you'd be safer using red eye or smelling salts. They can also go for longer without a hit too because the dependency gene overrides the need for a 6 day addiction schedule.
This is very helpful, even for those who play with it a lot! I played with this mod a lot, and only after watching I learned that there is only a limited amount of Scarlet in the map
I honestly think the limited amount is new in with the 1.5 release of the mod, same with a lot of the rebalanced numbers. If you check the description on the actual Scarlet Refinery the numbers for making Mechanites/Sludge are way off what they actually output.
Howdy! I don't know if you take suggestions like this, but have you considered reviewing the newer mod called Beyond Our Reach? It is a pretty neat Ultratech mod, based off of the classic Ambition Of The Cosmic/Science Never Stops, which *may* fall under the "overpowered" banner you mentioned towards the start of the video, but the mod has a *gorgeous* retro-futuristic look to it and I think it's worth a look!
I like this most out of all the ways to get Luci, it makes a decent investment into the whole endeavor instead of just adding a bill with a bunch of expensive materials.
This mod made me realized how overpower 90% of additional content mods out there are. They all add something better than vanilla stuff with very little or no drawback or balance cost. When play modded run I've always sgrug off sell every once of luciferium I have cuz compare to what modded weapons and item hasvto offer, it just a very valuable light wieght tradable for my caravan, as opposed to it intended use. A last ditch efford to save your colony from an unwinable raid.
maggnitz. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . rly tho, this makes Oskarware™ look incredibly lean and minimalist by comparison. I love uhlans and I would never use this
probably because you can just dive vaults and ruins on repeat to endlessly sustain your luciferium addicts, but this is a cool way of doing it for a sciencey type colony imo
@@eonnephilim852 yeah no one will stop you from sinking a ton of resources in to get a crumb of luci, and no one will stop an adjacent masochist like myself from playing sea ice

Thanks for making the mod :D (I assume boldly from your name)
I'm generally not a fan of mods with a ludicrous production chain, but this... This I like. Thank you!

I didn't know camps have ancient dangers. Good to know.
Holy crap, this is not the type of mod I usually download but I might actually do this one!
Considering this mod adds Atmospheric aspects would be awesome to see them add a mod for this that makes it so Luciferium Weather can happen, like Rain and Fog. :o
Unless this mod already exists and I just haven't seen it yet lol

Me: Perfect!
I totally get why you used Venom Snake for the thumbnail here, but it's very hilarious in context of him using an e-cig in game and smoking basically herbal absinthe
And the Prey reference at the end, perfect

This showcase was perfectly structured.
Great callback to Max Payne with the music. Keep up the great work!
I hope the next mod he covers is
VE pirates or another mod that adds a tough challenge to fight against
I really appreciate you doing these videos. Gives me some great suggestions for more mods.
Great mod review. It sure is fascinating all the cool new toys you can make... Though, it is best we remember.
"Those who play with the devil's toys will be brought by degrees to wield his sword."
If you have the luciferium dependance from VE hussars, can cheaper drugs like lifter sustain you? That would be super handy
Yep, it'll keep them happy. Just watch out for the OD chance of lifter, you'd be safer using red eye or smelling salts.
They can also go for longer without a hit too because the dependency gene overrides the need for a 6 day addiction schedule.
@@MysteriousFawx yes, the dependency if I remember correctly makes that the pawn needs one doce every 15-30 days
I would recommend using stuff like Scarlet Eye instead.
If I ever get to running my Breaking Bad playthrough this is at the top of my list.
This is very helpful, even for those who play with it a lot!

Awesome, one of my favorite mods! Making a squad of supersoldiers is always a lot of fun.

Always down for suggestions, I'll add it to the list
@@MysteriousFawx Thank you! And even if you don't decide to do a review on it, I still highly appreciate your time regardless!
Cool channel, as a modded RW player I really appreciate the videos.
i like how max payne theme goes along well with topic xd
Maybe I'm focusing on the wrong Detail, but I got to respect the Choice of Music in the background
I like this most out of all the ways to get Luci, it makes a decent investment into the whole endeavor instead of just adding a bill with a bunch of expensive materials.
I like using this mod to create super mutant super soldiers hooked up on this stuff to fight void.
Nice. I was really curious about the balance of this one. Good timing. lol
Haven't done a drug empire.. might start one. (In rimworld)......
Like for the Max Payne Music

That thumbnail goes hard.
Check that modders other mods out. He made 3 total bangers
Love your vids. Could you do combat extended or another combat mod? never understood the changes
prey is goated
I wonder how these drugs would work with a fully bionic anomaly ghoul. When they expire you can revive them again.
