    In the UK it is common to have these type of stores in towns with 2 additional storeys above containing offices and/or apartments, occasionally storage for the store. This is what I was planning to do, but I actually quite like the roof on this version with skylights.

    That roof is an excellent idea. Very nicely done. I like it. Not sure the checker is too happy with the fish set up right next to him. Lol. It

      Yeah it’s a little tight. That’s why I expanded it to an upper level. That should be out soon.

    It looks amazing, the only things I would add is increase the walkway in front of the store so you could have a cart coral, and allow for something like girl scout cookies for sale. The other is create a small back of house with some boxes labeled supplies. Those two things add to the story telling of the MOC, but you have definitely designed a beautiful MOC.

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. Yes those are things I liked at trying to add but I just could not work it out while keeping to a 32x32 baseplate. With my city already filling most of the current space I just had to make the decision that those would not be in the current moc. Maybe once I expand my city layout we can do that.

    Very nice. To answer your question, shopping cart escalators are very common in cities like New York where supermarkets are often either multi-level or are completely underground.
    Anyway, what you’ve built is great and as long as it works in your city then cool. In the future, if you run low on space, you can always build a building above the supermarket

    Fantastic build! Ya know, there are multi-level grocery stores... in Manhattan, at least. Our supermarkets tend to have grab-and-go items on the first floor, and everything else in the 'cellar' or one level below ground. There are also stores that occupy floors 1-3. There are escalators specially designed to take carts up/downstairs. You just go to the end and meet the cart. Anyway, I really like what you did with this.

      @jasonsbricksin5  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Yes I went to a target in nyc that was multiple floors. Pretty interesting. I actually have just about completed adding the second story and it looks pretty good and a little more spacious inside. Video should be out soon.

      Thanks. I definitely thought about that. However the biggest issue with that is my limited table space. Hopefully I can get a larger space soon to allow that kind of expansion. Thanks for watching!

    Great job! The use of bricks for the flat roof is creative, and hopefully more stable vs connecting plates together in a shape

    I think it is missing a "backstage" area where all of the produce and products that are not yet stocked on to the shelves get stored. Loved the offbrand names for candybarrs, cereal, and soda you came up with. had to laugh out loud when I saw the stickers.😆

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that was the sacrifice I had to make to keep it on a 32x32 baseplate. I wanted to add a butcher section and other stuff but had no room in the build. I considered doing a double baseplate to accommodate it but just didn’t have the real estate in my city.

    • @Omega_o7
      @Omega_o7 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasonsbricksin5 Yeah makes sense. I also got one of those supermarkets that I want to convert to a modular building. But for me it is even more important to include the backstage section because I want to add realism in form of "logistics cains" where you can follow the product from it's natural resurce to the place where it gets sold. So I will have food delivery trucks and large warehouses or distribiution centers in my city.

    • @jasonsbricksin5

    In terms of things missed - Maybe a shopping trolley area outside or even just inside.

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I tried to incorporate that but there just was no room in the 32x32 base plate. At least no without taking something else out.

    A WalMart in Knoxville, TN came to mind. IIRC, the entire WalMart is on the 2ndFloor.

      Yeah I know they do exist especially in inter city areas like New York. However I do think they are the exception. I considered making it two stories but just didn’t have the pieces needed. Maybe one day.

    Really cool mod dude the detail is amazing I'm making one myself right now I know this is a late comment but did you get those printed Lego cereal boxes off of a website like bricks how or did you get those in a set because those look amazing also how you made the roof gave me lots of tips tysm and great vid keep grinding!

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Maybe one day I will figure out the online instruction design tools.
      As for the sticker, it is from a Lego xtra stickers pack. I have seen it on eBay but I picked a couple up at legoland and it was like $3.98.

    Looks good! Do you have a list of LEGO additional parts (on top of the set 60347) necessary to do this ?

    • @jasonsbricksin5
      @jasonsbricksin5  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately I don’t. I just kind of built it as I went so mostly used parts I had on hand. I’ve thought about doing videos where I break down a few of the different parts of the store to show how I built them. While that wouldn’t give a part list, it would give an idea of the parts I used. But not sure how interested people would be in that. Let me know your thought. Thanks for watching.

      I actually bought those from the brick show online store. They have lots of great custom Lego items.
