People who plant ivy aren’t necessarily doing it “against” their neighbor! It’s quite beautiful in the beginning... I ti Took out mine back in the 90’s...
Nice job. A suggestion for your tool kit: A long handled, 5 tine pitchfork. For picking up the brush without having to bend over. I use mine all the time, works great.
You did a wonderful job! I love the fact that you pull the weeds and don’t just cut them off with your weed eater. The palm tree looks amazing. I like your channel just keep up the good work you do awesome work.
You video is so cathartic. We have a similar situation. Lots of ivy growing from the other side of a fence. And we deal with it in the same way. As long as it is maintained and kept tidy it actually provides a lot of privacy. Your Ireland Cricket team has been playing beautifully down here in the T20 Mens World Cup. Greetings from Melbourne. Cheers.
Amazing that neighbors’ plantings could take over their yard so much. Now they at least have a choice of what to do in their own yard. Good cleanup job. Looks much neater.
You've claimed your space back. Well done. I bet that's a good few years growth. Now you can do something with it, looking forward to seeing what you do
You refound the wall and it looks like the ivy wasn't even from this property. Refound the palm tree. Like your tote bags for hauling. Nice work. A much improved appearance throughout.
Nice, 👏👏 i have 3 years experience in this work, now i don't have work because my boss gave very small salary, but bro your work experience is amazing.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I've been fighting with English Ivy for years. Once it's established like that, you'll never be rid of it. The best you can hope for is control, but it grows so fast and sends suckers under ground if you are not on top of it, you end up with a mess very quickly.
Iv cut plenty Ivey out ,if you don’t get the roots out it comes back quick ,good job anyhoo hard work mate pays the bills,May be long at a small shredder would they help nice tidy job mate
I'm assuming the creepers are climbing over the stone fence from the neighbors side. It's a shame you couldn't remove them entirely. It would look way better to not leave raw stems showing but otherwise, you did an outstanding job of clean up.
I had a big rosemary bush like that one ( if it's rosemary ).I didn't cut off enough for cooking thru the years. My old house in Calif had the same block walls in the backyard.

Totally agree with you, guess the solution is to cut the ivy back continuously to keep it nice and green, and not let it get so overgrown, but, yes, surprising how so many people prefer the concrete block wall...
Thank you guys! Absolutely agree, it should be constantly shaped, from the beginning, and not let it get sooo overgrown! I don’t think people really like the concrete block wall but in cases like this one they have no choice.🙌
IV got the same problem mate it comes back stronger than ever every year I think it's from 2 doors down.... Not sure how to approach them and try to get the devil's lettuce rooted out

Have you ever used a tarp for catching the waste on the floor. Especially on gravel. I use them but understand why people don't. They can be a tripping hazard and sometimes more of a pain. What's your view?
@@greenlandsc7797 I use a tarp on gravel. Works OK but just got to be careful of tripping over. And dragging a ladder or trestles over it is a no no. But try it and see. Also look at LHL videos. He shreds everything up with his mower. Something I've done but he blows it all under the hedge or into borders. Great vids mate.
I'm so glad you trimmed that out of control bush and that palm tree. The whole yard looks so much better!! You deserve a big tip!
Thank you so much!🙌
Great job! It seems like no-one cares that they are bothering other people. The yard looks huge now that you cut the mess. Thank you!
