    Mad respect for Tracy McGrady but it is sad seeing him having some remorse for not feeling like he accomplished everything. But he had no real help hell he even carried the Adidas brand in the early 2000's. He was really unstoppable and would have been an all time great and he is a blessing to the game. Man I love how much respect he is getting from all his former teams and players among others. Tracy McGrady did not win a ring, But Tracy McGrady won at life and then some.

    • @alexandrossimitzis146
      @alexandrossimitzis146 7 ปีที่แล้ว +36

      Obviously winning a ring is very important but it's not everything. Great players like T-Mac, Barkley, Reggie Miller, Patrick Ewing, Dominique Wilkins, Iverson etc did not win it, but they still have a lot to be proud of.

      The Toronto Wire well he should have stayed with the raptors hof player bt he would have had a ring if he made better choice in teams he picked

    • @alexandrossimitzis146
      @alexandrossimitzis146 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      T-Mac said that he regretted leaving the Raptors. Also bear in mind that the Orlando Magic coulda been a powerhouse if Grant Hill hadn't gone down with so many injuries. And remember also, they almost brought Tim Duncan. Imagine a healthy Orlando team with T-Mac, Grant Hill and TD! And also remember that T-Mac almost won a ring, until Ray Allen happened.

    • @alexandrossimitzis146
      @alexandrossimitzis146 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I totally agree with you bro. Just imagine if Grant Hill and Yao Ming had stayed healthy, and imagine if Ray Allen had missed that 3 pointer.

    Pure offensive BEAST, he could do it all, handles, shoot from the outside, drive, he certainly was NOT the Defender that Jordan was, but you can argue he was just as potent a scorer

    • @troncarter6834
      @troncarter6834 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      MDCigan thats true although when he was at the raptors, due to his crazy athletic ability, he was a defensive specialist. Dude was blocking/stealing anything that came his way. But all that obviously stopped when he moved to Orlando lol

    • @MFjaYWiLL
      @MFjaYWiLL 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Tron Chappelle not really. His defense just stopped being highlighted. And on top of that he played with bums. So he couldn't do it all. He tried and his back and knees went out on him. One man can only do so much

    • @kevinaraujo4945
      @kevinaraujo4945 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MDCigan please don't compare t Mac to jordon. jordons first step was insane when he took it he was gone. jordon turn around jumper was unstoppable. everyone was to compare someone to mike when mike is from a different planet. mike is goat and forever will be goat. if t Mac went against mike in playoff or finals, jordon would make t Mac cry. t Mac was a great scorer but only for a very short time and took his team nowhere

    • @toppa4504
      @toppa4504 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      kevin araujo Pls TMac is known for having an insane for step for his size. 6'8 and literally blowing past Point guards. There was no player like TMac. He was the first of this hybrid type of player. Then came LeBron then KD. TMac was the first, 6'8 smooth handles, soft touch, as quick as a PG, Taller than whoevers guarding him. If youre taller than him, you were too slow, if youre shorter than him, hell shoot right over you or take you to the basket. Either way TMac had a 44 inch vertical and basically shot over any defender and his tendencies for that were high.

    He was better than everyone in the league for 4-5 years. Overshadowed by Kobe. T-Mac didn't have the pieces he needed and he still act a fool on the court solo. Didn't like Van Gundy system for him but he still shined in Houston. Especially comes playoff time. He didn't reach far but he average like 28-32 points in the playoffs each year he started.

      Worst luck ever. He was supposed to be with Grant Hill in Orlando, but, Hill got hurt. (Orlando almost signed Duncan) Went to the Rockets and Yao plays hurt and half the games. He did very well in the playoffs, just was bunched in a stacked West. 1st ballot all the way.

    He was the first big man to score and handle the ball like a guard. Before Lebron, Melo and KD, There was TMAC! He was also a trendsetter for pulling up off the dribble. This cat had it all. My opinion is they inducted him more for his influence and impact he had on the game rather than his accomplishments. Well deserved TMAC!

    My favorite player of all time. Whenever I play NBA live back in 2007 I would always pick whatever team t-mac is in (I had the older games). And make him score a bunch of points. I had my mom buy me t-mac 6 shoes for my 15th birthday. I loved t-mac back then and said he was better than Kobe because my grandpa was a big Kobe fan. And I would always cheer for t-mac. I just wish I can get to meet him.

      DP30 Well each person is given a time limit. Some people go way over like Allen Iverson did last year lol.
      But even now, T-Mac still cannot believe he is a HOFer. I don't even think he grasps the concept he was even up on the ballot to be one, yet alone be a finalist. So I wasn't shocked to see him keep the speech short and sweet. Plus Mac isn't too talkative in general.
      However, I did want to see him speak on his lack of winning success and how Scoliosis played a role in his career.

    Just the fact that we have to explain why T mac should be in no question is crazy. He literally is one of the best players I have ever seen and was literally considered to be going for the GOAT title even over Kobe when T mac was in his prime. He was incredible. That's why he got in so early no debate because real fans knew he was no joke and the ONLY thing that slowed him down was injuries. Even Kobe constantly says that T mac was the only person of his era that had him in awe and that he felt like he couldn't stop. Think about that. Kobe has played against MJ, Lebron, Iverson, Duncan, etc and he said T mac was the hardest to play against. Kobe is universally respected so even if you don't believe the media guys the great Mamba who was playing against him while you was on the couch let you know that T mac was not a game.

    These youngsters dont understand! Injury can be so cruel. For all the Kobe lovers, T Mac was overall better than Kobe before he got injured. I would have taken T Mac over Kobe every day of the week and twice on Sunday up until T Macs back injury. He was that good. I'd honestly say Kobe was a better lock down defender than T Mac in his prime, but T Mac was a much better and efficient scorer. T Mac was smooth as butter on the court.

    • @magnumcornetto
      @magnumcornetto 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of those injuries were late in Kobe's career. T-Mac's back problems started when he still was with the Magic. That's without mentioning how Kobe had Shaq to help him carry the load early on, and later had a supporting cast that included Pau Gasol, Derek Fisher, Lamar Odom, Ron Artest, Trevor Ariza.

      Career wise, yes. That list is accurate.
      Comparing them on their prime, no. Specially taking in account how TMac's prime was pretty much slashed by injuries. But while it lasted it was just ridiculous to watch. Even Kobe admits that Tmac on his prime could do anything he could, but better. And Wade as great as he was never topped Kobe. Make your own conclussions.
      And AI as amazing as he was, doesn't belong in that list, he was a PG. Scoring-first PG, but PG nonetheless. He has no business being in a Shooting Guard list.
