@@mierihiranishihey I have a question I want to become a manga artist but don't know how much I'll get paid and I don't wanna work my life away and I see all these schedules of people sleeping for 1 hour and working all day living in a dump and it kinda scares me and people say they barely get paid I'm fine with 50-80k each year but people say they don't get that and don't get paid for their work please explain and I'm sorry for this rant I'm just worried if I'm choosing the right path

And here I am in the room that I had been in since age 16 and feeling overwhelmed about trying to become a professional artist and struggling to stay organized in a closed in space while coveting after those bigger fancier studio set ups that the big shots have, this makes me feel not so alone and I feel more confident now. I may be a bit biased here but I don't think that there is any other artist that busts their asses to the extent that a mangaka does, if a mangaka can live in tight spaces, work under harsh schedules, function with barely any sleep and still bust out shit tons of issues of graphic novels then why can't I do the same for my craft anytime, anywhere, and with lots of time to spare. I am not advocating for this routine nor do I recommend adapting it, but the point is to destroy all of the excuses that you need the right set up or circumstances to MAKE things happen, this video has inspired me to be proactive about everything I do and with great discipline regardless of the stressful situation.

So the crazy thing is that I just walked into BAM and saw a manga that had a familiar character. I quickly looked on TH-cam and went through my saved videos. Found out that it was a TH-camr I had watched about a year ago so I purchased it just now. Hope I enjoy I subscribed as well

I would've been very curious to see what the old workplace looked like too, it may be messy and the desk is old but it's more relatable for me as a broke artist who's also been using the same desk since she was a kid 🤣 Your new workplace looks amazing doe! I actually saw your book in one of the displays at a bookstore I whent to a few days.
I have a recommendation for you, obviously if you're careful this doesn't matter but I'd get some sort of nightstand or something for your desk to put your drinks on just incase you don't spill one and destroy like half your equipment.

So I have a technial question you might be able to help me with: I am doing a manga, and I used one of Clip Studio's Presets for the creation, it has a standard bleedn safe zone etc. If I know my manga is not going to be printed can I ignore those lines? If I only focus on using the safe zone and work as to respect the trim/bleed lines when I export there's so much white space....
