Hi guys..just wanted to say thank you for all of your comments...Its great to get feedback from you all on my original material, as i'm mainly known for my lessons on named players..I do compose alot, and when I got into guitar it was to be an artist. I kind of fell into doing the transcription stuff as I guess I have good ears for working out stuff..anyway, I just wanted to thank you all..stay tuned for some new material..Jamie Humphries
Thanks for the comments guys.. The gear I used was obviously my old Musicman Axis, fitted with Dimarzio 36th Anniversary Paf's.. The guitar was plugged into an Xotic EP booster and into a Blackstar HT5 head..
10 years ago I was lucky enough to be taught by Jamie In Brighton I remember him playing this at music live too! Great guitarist and very down to earth guy
Jamie is a beast of a player i know because he kinda taught me a thing or two through Guitar Techniques magazine all his lesson's are brilliant and well thought out, yes more ballads please JTC thanks for the Alex Hutch freebie aswell
I was waiting as usual, speed, tappings, and yes, I was surprised, to see that in the simplicity of these notes, captured the essence of all harmony, my respect Jamie
Great track. I'll always have a soft spot for Jamie as the first guy to introduce me to guitar playing, way back on the "M-Channel" on Sky TV. I bought my first guitar after watching his lessons and have never looked back :)
Wow Jamie, that's awesome, first time I've heard you playing your own stuff. It's great to see someone whose technique is the servant of the song, not the master. The master is the emotion you convey. Thanks.
Very good song i listen to it on my iphone 2 or 3 times a week with guthrie/ satch .. song . The melody is very attractive and the solo is just enough not too much shred! Well done JAMIE, look forward to hear new song/ album from you soon!
Amazing! One of the best clips in Jamtrackcentral! Have been a big fan of Jamie's lessons for years though! :D Great to see him doing originals finally!
Thank you!! I do compose a lot of original material..my first solo album "J" is available from JTC.. You can find it on my profile page.. I am currently composing new material for a new album
Hi Richard.. This isn't a Guthrie tune matey.. It is mine. Guthrie and I had an EP out called Introducing and because Guthrie is more famous than me my name doesn't come up on the down load version. Guthrie and I still joke about it still. Just thought I'd let you know mate.. I wrote this track around 1998/99.. There's an older video of me playing it on TH-cam .. Cheers Jamie
Truly wonderful. Absurd tone. I could listen to those sweet notes for hours. Just coming across this browsing the Tube. Some of your phrasing reminds me of Marcel Coenen, but your style is original, wonderful and refreshing.
Wow, this is such a beautiful composition, I love that melody. Can't stop listening to this! Any tips for writing instrumentals like this? Hope I can make something half as good as this one day. So well done :)
Hi Chip..all of the controls on my guitar are standard..the extra volume and switch are for the piezo which is standard..the only mods this guitar has are the pickups, DiMarzio 36th anniversary PAFS, and jumbo frets..I think Dunlop 2600.. Something like that..I've been using this guitar 13 years, although I do have 12 of these in total..this is my number 1..Jamie
Jamie im so used to the teaching aspect I don't get to enjoy you strictly playing as often. In saying that, on top of being a killer teacher your feel is fantastic. Still rocking the music mans til the end :).
Wonderful solo Jamie ,been listening to it for quite a while now,it,s one of those that stick in the memory, great tone and phrasing,I look forward to more examples of your soloing using your own compositions,Thanks
Thanks Jamie, this pice hit me as something to love. Its the first jamtrackcentral i have purchased. I have been working on it for a few months. Thank You for the inspiration to do new things. Great pice! -Cheers :D
Took me AGES to think where I recognised the chord progression from - it's a lot like Seven Impossible Days by Mr Big. Great track though, and beautifully played. Hoping we hear more soon!
The last MR Big album I bought was bump a head.. I love MR Big, but I'm not about copying someone's song....I just thought I'd put the record straight as its very easy for people to comment on things they know nothing about...but yes I hear a similarity but then I hear a similar chord progression on the scenes from a memory...the chords are diatonic to D major, arpart from the E/G#..so listen to A
Happens to the best of us. Thankfully a few extra pounds around the tum don't stop him being an awesome musician. i love Jamie's stuff, saw him perform a few of his tracks at a guitar show. Very talented bloke.
Thomas it's not by Guthrie it by me..I wrote it in 1997.. It was originally on the introducing EP, which was me and Guthrie..2 tracks by him erotic cakes and wonderful slippery thing, 2 tracks by me, ceremony and from scratch..I had to clear this up as this has happened before..but it's NOT by Guthrie

Absolute beauty and mastery of the guitar. More so than my other favorite, Justin Derrico.
T Rad. Guitarist.
It has DiMarzio 36th Anniversary pafs..they are very low output..it cleans up great..also jumbo fret wire..
Yes it's a modified Axis Supersport..I've played this guitar for 12 years..I've endorsed Musicman since 1997

Sounds awesome, like some kind of a mix of Eddie van Halen themes with Joe Satriani composing!
