- Finally hit Onion Level 50 yesterday and spent a bunch of stamina to report back to you all my results! We take a look at the drops and I compare my level 80 Jiyan to my level 70 Jiyan with a quick little damage comparison.

He is a normal person. Most people like this are. The no lifers you normally think of when you think about Genshin are a minority, especially when considering whales. Most Genshin players have a life, which is why they also usually are not on social media.

Tacet field should cost 40 and not 60 I feel
Keeping 1.5x the rewards at 60 waveplates would mean less daily grind at tacet fields, which would be a better overall system than just requiring more grinding to spend the same waveplates for similar rewards.

the amount of Shell credit that everything requires is insane... echo exp/premium tuning was just the tip of the iceberg of problems for our progression, the game will call us poor irl and in game lol
Yeah the grinding in my experience is even worse than GI.... We just get mid way point and it requires nearly all of our resources
The amount of resources for end-game level would be insane
I did well doing the 2x event using those runs for just credits, I do want to see bigger events for mats, so far we just some about echoes, only the dash one had some skill mats
@@chihaotran1568 in terms of silver yes, it's worst than GI, but I find getting a character good echoes it's not that hard in comparison (another thing is leveling them up)
@@chihaotran1568 Seems about the same as Genshin midpoint as F2P. HSR was even worse and made me cave into buying the first few BPs, but it's a different game genre. Initial grind in WuWa will be harsher especially regarding echos, but the gear/wep can be shared in ToA making endgame less of a hassle. If they powercreep by releasing newer sets then for sure an issue to address if the 1.1 increase isn't substantial. Even though we need 3 teams for ToA, you don't need to invest much for support chars to make them work. Judging by character gap levels, we will probably be able to clear ToA no problem at higher union levels. As far as I remember, I did not fully clear abyss until almost half a year as F2P in genshin.

when there's nothing else to spend your waveplates on, then tacet fields are the next best thing meaning they don't have bad rewards we just haven't unlocked the higher levels yet. some players just like to yap for no reason 🗿

Just hit Onion lvl 45 today, looking forward to the next content update since i been sitting on 100% full exploration after a week the game was out hahaha cant wait to have a new area to explore and hopefully a new waifu to add to my team ^_^

I found on reddit that in the known issue bug log, its mentioned that the shell credit is currently bug when leveling up character and echo
Currently at onion level 39 , i dont really have much time playing but its cool to see what well get and need in higher onion levels, i wonder if theres a cap for the onion level, i stopped doing my dailies in genshin ever since i hit the cap of ar60 more than a year ago, hope this game doesnt have a cap(if they do then i hope that theyll increase it in future update)

That damage difference between ascension caps is crazy. I haven't gone to my next ascension level for my Jiyan yet but im definitely going to now

At Union L48 I did 14 Forgery challenges average greens were 25.3.
It was typically 1 purple, 4 blue, 6-7 green, but purple wasn't guaranteed (its about 75% to get a purple)
Gold are possible at 40 too, I've gotten at least 2 and I haven't done too many Forgery challenges.
I'm lvl 44 and getting stuck in resources since i've been farming things for 5 characters and i still need to think of 3 more after that... i hope kuro games buffs the tacet fields rewards in 1.1 cause my echoes are starving a bit 😢

Yeah.. I do think they need to bump those rewards a bit. Using an entire day's worth of Waveplates to get enough materials to maybe ascend one character is kind of rough. Same for the drop rates for the weapon enhancements to upgrade them. I hope that 1.1 they'll start giving out a lot more rewards for stuff like that.
It's perfectly fine, is this everyone's first gacha? In 1.3 and later on you will have one character per patch you need to build. Resources are always scarce in the beginning because you are building all the characters, this is a non issue later down the line.
A whole day's worth of stamina just to improve a character a little bit is normal
Yeah,people just rush to gamble echo tune early game,while i already fully max 6 resonator at ul45,and on my 3rd team for tower of adversity.after i done upgrading my 3rd team i gonna start preparing upgrade material for jinshi and changli.i gonna start gambling echo tune after i done upgrading all meta resonator.i mean if i can clear all current content with random tune,why should i gamble it now?
I just hit OL40 and thought finally everything is stamina efficient and come to realize that the drops are no where near enough to be stamina efficient XD. Quick comparison from hsr and genshin's drops(which I like to avoid entirely, but can't e helped because of the need in reference point) really makes wuwa's stamina efficiency bad, but not unnecessarily high.
Based off of my own data, the Forgery Challenge drop chances for UL40, out of 23 runs, are 13% for a single gold drop, 74% for a single purple drop, guaranteed 4 blue drops and guaranteed 6 or 7 green drops at an average of 6.52.

The dmg difference is MASSIVE
That could be due to some sort of level gap related thing, since he is going from 70 vs 90 to 80 vs 90.
would u recommend me to use the stamina cubes after 40+ or continue waiting till after 50 ?

1:45 I think there was a note fdrom the devs stating the amount of shell credits being consumed to upgrade gear, characters and echos is abnormally higher than normal and it will be fixed in 1.1 so i hope the value we see in the video gets lower in the future patch

Interesting to hear how stuff does(n't) change as we increase in union level! Only UL42 right now, slowly making my way there; but it's good to know that 40+ is a good enough place to start burning all those condensed resins for echo exp (send help)
i would wait until 1.1 to burn all your cubes on echo exp since they will buff drop rates in general. stay strong man. edit: this aged poorly. they likely wont touch drop rates, but just wait until your higher union level so its more worth it
I don’t know with how much things costs later maybe echo xp isn’t a good idea at the moment
For damage comparison, it'd be nice to see 70 on 70 compared to 80 on 80, on top of seeing both compared to 90. Just in case there's a level gap modifier, as well as depending on how defense works (if it is more of a flat reduction than a damage % based one).

I'm curious how much of the damage increase is due to your characters being only 10 levels below the Heron as opposed to 20 levels. As we know from a certain game that shall not be named, level difference between the enemy and your character does affect how much damage you can do to them that's calculated differently from your actual stats.

Was there any updates to the resonator simulation training? I think it’s only 2 golds and 4 purples at lvl40

I had so many issues with leveling up echoes before exploring my world.
Now that im almost 100% in each area, i have 1k both gold and purple tuners, but as for echo exp... The gold echo exp seemed to have not increased, and the purple echo exp is at i think about 300 before i spent it.
Onion lvl 39.3 and hoping to have time to finish quests to finally hit lvl 40 this week.
Just doing your dailies and your 240 wave plates would push you to 40 in 2 days, quests are a miniscule and time inefficient part of leveling UL
After reaching UL 50, should I prioritize leveling up weapon to level 80 or skill/talent to level 8 first?
that credit amount is exactly why i did the majority of the 2x for credits.
man that average echo exp from tacet fields...thats litearlly 6 runs to max out 1 echo. and thats 120 tuners, 12 rolls, thats enough to max out that echo with 7 rolls to spare. not to mention if its a bad roll you also get some refunes on tuners. its basicly lvl 17 echo to use 30 tuners to get any sense of close to the same. the refund into a new one finally gets to a sumwhat equalibrium on second time around lvl 10-15 since the tuners are 30% refund compared to exp at 75%

Is there anyone who collects drop rate data (like you did in the Excel file) for each UL? Having a large sample size of data would be really beneficial.

I'm union lvl 41 atm and I just got a gold drop from the forgery challenge so it's definitely possible but at a very low chance
Can confirm. Got 5 gold drops in total at UL 44 while farming for Jiyan and Mortefi mats
At lvl 44 I still haven't levelled many echoes at all. I've focused on talents and weapons for my top 6 characters. I've got echoes to 15 for my top 3 characters and to level 10 for the next 3. I just figure, skills & weapons are for ever, while echoes will probably be replaced soon, so I may as well make them the last thing to level and I don't have resources to do everything, so I just ignore them until the end.
Am thinking of building c4 Yuanwu as an electro shielder to replace Jianxin in my Yinlin/Calcharo team though. Am looking for a guide about him.
Then I have Verina as a healer for a Rover/Sanhua team, and Jianxin can become a tank for future team.

Same. I am lvl 43(only need like 500 xp to 44 tho), and I am busy farming for ascention materials for when I hit lvl 50, then I will be farming talent upgrade materials, spending waveplates on tacet fields rn is a waste of resources imo(if you are f2p or low spender)
I have lvl 25 echoes on my main DPSes(3) and lvl 20 echoes on my sub-dpses(3) and just started leveling the echoes of my supports, and I could be much more ahead if I didn't chase the "perfect rolls" on my main DPSes. Unfortunately it took a few max lvl echoes to realise that I am wasting my resources.
Ppl should focus on getting "acceptable" echoes right now, then slowly start replacing them with better ones as the time goes.
I should reach level 45 in 2 days if I burn a couple of the stamina objects. I have 20 left from the free ones we got and the ones we get from in-game drops.

I’ve decided to start farming credits over the weekends until I feel like I’m ok for a bit lol. I’m at UL 40 though, saving my Crystal Solvents until there’s a character I really like comes out (I don’t know anyone, just until I’m like OMG HE/SHE IS SO CUTE 😂). I don’t see a need to rush atm. Finally got DB 19 and UL 40 a couple days ago with only spending 1 solvent (accidentally), so I’m just chillin'

Just hit lvl40 yesterday, already ascended a few characters to lvl69. Didn't notice big difference in dmg in open world, so it works as intended, I guess.

The money increases the least, so it is the most efficient thing to farm for. However, that won't allow you to improve your characters much. Still, as you start to get close to UL50, you may wish to focus on farming the money.
UL50 = +5 gold tuner for tactet field~ wow so good

I’ve never played a gacha before. I made the mistake of spreading resources out too much and now I’m broke. I need to level another main dps to help out with tower and realized I’m out of shell credits😢
Remember it's not a race but a marathon, there's no such thing as a bricked account.. unless you accedentally exchange all you're main currency for standard Gacha pull's, but even then it's too early in the game to do any long term harm to you're account
The tacet field reward need to be increase, it's too expensive for what it give at the moment

HSR takes 8,4 runs at 40 "energy" per run (336 total) to level one 5* to max, assuming you dont save ANY of the 5* at Equilibrium level 60+. Can MAYBE shave off 1 run if you get REALY lucky with 5* drops. Now in normal circumstances you would probably save at least a few of the 5* because good/potential rolls or to turn them into fragments to craft new pieces so that would increase the "energy" requirement.
Assuming you get around 27k exp average (rough estimate since from this data its 25k average at 50) at union level 60 from tacet fields it takes 5 runs at 60 "energy" (300 total) to level an echo to max. this is also 100-125 tuners (125 if it goes up to 25 per run).
Just a bit of a pointer for anyone thinking EXP gain is somehow worse than games with similar systems. Gear is a "late-game grind" in all of them, not an early game maxed out kinda deal.
Shell credits are insanely harder to get than mora.
In genshin I level multiple characters and get like 8 million mora within a few days of leyline farming.
I've been doing the shell credits farm for a week and I barely have 2 millions shell credits 💀
The shell credit cost is also way higher than the mora cost for the same things 😭

....2 gold and 5-6 purp tacet field drops at UL45 but they reduce purple drop at UL50? I dont even know anymore. Like at this point I think they are intentionally making it worse to make you stay longer but this can only backfire.

cant wait to get to 50. I need that Jiyan crit passive so i can rest peace on my build. currently have 48% Cr and 290% CD. Many would say 65/240 is better but I tried it and 290 beats out that ratio. It feels like Jiyan is hitting multiple times thats 48 and 65 dont have that difference else 240/290 you can see and tell how hard that 290 hits
Who are you arguing with? Anyways math says those are basically identical. 48-290 is 1.912x dmg and 65-240 is 1.91x dmg. However if you add tactical strike 12% crit dmg bonus 48-302 is 1.9696x and 65-252 is 1.988x. All you do for this math is multiply your crit rate as a percentage of your cdmg, then add the remaining crit rate times 100. So (48% of 290) + (52% of 100) = 191.2% dmg increase. 48% of the time you do 290% dmg and other 52% you do 100% damage.

Why you didn' t include the rewards we can get in the shop? There is a free rewards though we can get, i get a reward when i got to level 40, definitely there is a free reward when we can reach lvl 50 its there!!! Idk why you didnt even mentioned it though!
I think at level 50 you can get free 400 purple tuners plus other rewards there if im not mistaken!

We get same echo exp tbh.. they give 2 gold which is 16k exp ? And 6 purple ? Whixh is 12 so 28k total?
At UL on avg 3 golden (24k exp) + 3 purple which is (6k exp)?

Im UL 47. Since Im whaling on daily WP replenishment, I might reach UL50 by Sunday. I hope they just copied everything from Genshin wherein we get rewards when leveling up our ARs. This game makes progress very slow
Seeing this, I think I agree that would be best to farm shell credits coz the cost of leveling up chars, weaps and echoes just gets too.high. i wil nowl also prefarm ascension materials for Jiyan, Calcharo and Yinlin
that damage difference is insane
One thing to note is that it's likely due to level difference defense increases. That was against a level 90 enemy, so it's not "exactly"a 40% damage increase, it's just that the level gap is smaller and as such the defense is lowered.
Of course, that's only a distinction that matters occasionally, like the increase if you're fighting level appropriate content, but yeah.

@@Tissuestrash I fully expect bosses in the Tower of Adversity to be 110 once the game is a little older, like how old Spiral Abyss were like, Fatui and Mitachurls and now it's level 300 bosses or whatever (hyperbole, but you understand)

@@Tissuestrash Right. If you want to keep the challenge right now, you have to fight it when you're still underlevelled and undergeared. Once we're at endgame investment, every content is pretty much trivialized (assuming Kuro doesn't increase the DPS check at a faster rate than the playerbase can catch up), which is basically the same complaints we have in Genshin.
That danjin trick at 5:02, how to do it?
Dont play her but if i recall correctly, if that is not her normal speed of spamming her ability then its most likely that cancel where you spam the "ultra sonic chip" utility before pressing her ability again, u can literally mash it but there is some tiny bit of timing to it. its not really a useful trick though. youl do more dps doing her normal rotations if i recall correctly :) also its a bug that you can do this, and it will flash on your screen "cannot take a photo"
