Thanks man. I found the one under the tube and I figured there had to be one each under the wheels. Based on where I was getting resistance when I attempted to split the cases (white and red). I just didn't want to bust the wheels prying them out. Then finding out after there was a different way. This was a perfect video, right to the point. Thanks again!
Don't forget that most shark vacuums have a 5 year warranty. They have very good customer support. If you call them they will replace your powerhead with no questions asked!! Still a very informative video! If anything else breaks give them a call. This unit is newer then mine and I still get support for mine. I have one year left on my warranty. When I buy a new shark I'm going to purchase the lifetime warranty because I know they stand by the products.
That's good to know, Thanks. Unfortunately , shortly after making this video, my 4 year old daughter knocked a gallon of pink paint off of the shelf in the closet we kept the vacuum in, the vacuum was completely covered so we ended up throwing it out. We did get another Shark though, just a different model.
Thank you very much, I knew about the one by the tube but did not know about the ones under the little wheels! My problem was not a broken belt but a short in a wire that had got crimped in the assembly process and over time broke in two.
This video was awesome. We discovered after getting it apart that the lower hose is the part that needs to be replaced. It's available but we can't figure out how to replace it. Any chance you can video or explain that repair. Thanks
I got all the screws out but can't for the life of me, even with another person helping, take apart the beater . The top will NOT come off and with pulling, part of the bottom cracked. i really don't want to break the whole darn thing just to change the lower hose! any suggestions?
Could you post a video about the wand button? My wand won't come out I'm not sure if it's a spring or what but without that button it won't move at all. Help!
I have seen a couple of these videos now, the first one showed where every screw was, including the hidden ones.(Thanks Donna!). What I haven't seen yet is anyone (including Donna) mention that the two screws directly adjacent to the large rear wheels are SMALLER than the other screws. I guess I wasn't paying attention when I removed them. :-} I didn't find this out until putting them all back in and the bigger ones didn't fit those holes. I had one smaller one left but of course, the second smaller one had to be last screw I found after going through all the others I had already installed! Be forewarned....
