    Is there a video of the front welds and shroud being done?

      Yeah it’s on Rumble. YT banned it

    Nice work!!! You have to put the denial pin in or it will be considered a machine gun, correct??
    Thank You

      @JPMachine  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it cannot accept any unmodified full auto components. So you need to have denials for the bolt and FCG that only work with the semi mods

    A little late to the party. I was doing a reweld on a PPS-43. 120v gasless, flux core mig. I found that I couldn't hold a consistent weld because it would burn holes through very quick. Is the M49 receiver made of a thicker metal which allows this? Considering doing an M49 build myself!

      @JPMachine  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A little thicker…Not much though! With flux core you’re better off doing small the whole way, not laying a bead. A much better option would be to get a gas setup! I do complete semi conversions for m49/57’s too if interested!

      @JPMachine Appreciate the response! Ya live and ya learn. It was my first build and I'd consider myself an amateur welder. It was definitely a fun project and learning experience. Still haven't completed the bolt yet. Blew the motor on my mill. Have to replace that and hopefully will get back to it. I may take you up on the offer for the M49 if I pull the trigger (pun intended) on getting a kit. If you dont mind me asking, which supplier do you use for barrels? I wound up getting a 16" barrel for my PPS43, with a barrel shroud extension. Looks a little like an Ant eater, but I can keep the stock at least! Seems like parts for the PPS are easier to acquire than the M49. I'm also a member on WG so I will be checking there. Any info you may have would be appreciated!

      @@JPMachine I actually just watched your bolt build video where you said Bowman. Thank you again! I may be emailing you soon about a possible semi bolt build for the M49!

      @@BlueprintTactical I’m a vendor on weaponsguild too. I documented my whole m49/57 build in a thread in the “all others section.” Check out my part 1 and part 2 Pps43 build to see how I did the barrel. I like the looks of a fake can as a barrel extension a whole lot better than the anteater look! My main product I do for people is the Pps43 bolts if you get stuck there too.

      @@JPMachine Perfect! Sounds great. As I said, this was my first build from a parts kit and definitely hit some snags along the way. I have 2 kits. I may try the PPS bolt myself first and if that doesn't work out, I will more than likely be reaching out to you lol

    Does anyone sell these welded? Or is there somewhere I can send to?

    • @JPMachine
      @JPMachine  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do not know of any completed receivers out there. You would need to find a 07FFL that specializes in rewelds if you want to have someone else reweld the reciever for you, otherwise you can do it yourself!

    How did you get the sights lined up and distanced properly?

    • @JPMachine
      @JPMachine  ปีที่แล้ว

      Eyeball them, you can tell where it’s supposed to be by lining up the bolt knob slot usually. For the front sight, you can line up the holes in the shroud.

      Believe it’s heat setting D, wire speed of 5. No idea what that translates to but I have enough experience on my machine to have a pretty good guess at where it should be

    What size gas bottle is that?

    • @JPMachine
      @JPMachine  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s a 60cf. I have the same bottle sizes for mig and tig but I wish I had a bigger one for the tig welder. Mig it’s a fine size but tig uses a whole lot more gas.
