    I think by “I’d never walk Cornelia Street again” also means that she will also never fall in love again and trust someone as much ever again.

    I really enjoyed listening to your interpretation! I'm so glad Taylor wrote a song about love manifesting in physical places. I have that feeling myself when I visit certain places in the world...it's haunting.

    Ahhhh, you did such a good job with this!! I totally agree with "you and I" vs "we", it sounds much more personal. Also loved the connection to "Invisible" and your point about starting and ending the song with the same lyrics. You were literally finishing my sentences, haha

    OVER-THINKING HERE:
    When the lyric goes sat on the roof, I could quickly visualise the image of them on a rooftop, giving everyone on the street the ability to view them clearly. But then quickly it says "you and I", which is suggestive of them not caring about anyone now.
    Which if we are linking it to Taylor's life, it could be a metaphor for letting the media writes what they want, but they'll just be there.
    cute little observation I've got :)

    • @summersentiment
      @summersentiment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that's an interesting point!!
      you're right, she does sing "you and i" more quickly! that's a nice detail and a super cool way to think about it!
      thanks for sharing :)!!

    This is amazing! You need to make that your main contact or something, I myself never though if it that way. Love is really only a feeling, it can not be touched!!! Mind blown!! So butterflies and Beautifully said! We poor love into the things around us so we can always remember, what that person looked like when they smiled at us.

    I disagree with you on the use of the word causally. I think she used it as an antiphrasis. In my experience a woman don’t causally invite a man back to her apartment. It’s usually very deliberate. And I don’t think she was drunk. She only said she was drunk on love and that’s stronger than the drinks at the bar. I also don’t get a vibe that this was a drunk night out with a new guy based on what else transpired. I agree with your take on walking Cornelia street representing the state of being in love. I didn’t catch that. ❤ your content. Very few people actually take the time to do a serious literally analyze her lyrics. She is basically a poet her sets her poems to music at this point.
