Holy Moses! I saw this when it was broadcast in 1972 and have never seen it since - I had assumed there were no copies extant, even of snippets. This is amazing.
I saw the original off bdway 1959 prod there was NOTHING ELSE like it! I am so glad you enjoyed this color remake

I just watched the 1964 version. I feel like this one here is the more energetic of the two. She wrecks this bed much more vigorously.
I was 9 when this show came on. I laughed so hard my mom thought I'd lost my mind. Carol Burnett is the best.

thank you. yes I am his youngest son. I am fb if you have anything else?I saw the original when I was about 4? the black and white version is much closer. they change it around take songs out and others in?I have posted a lot of jacks own work and he was a comic genius! carol loved him! and when she got her OWN show? she always had jack on. this seems to be a fav of hi schools to perform. the only real replica of the original is?... in the Orig Cast Rec 1959

@@musimages23 Thanks for the reply. How great! Yes, I'm aware of your Dad's excellent work! I grew up kinda-sorta around the world of Bway in late 60s/70s. My Dad started out as a song-writer and was friends with Mattress co-writer Marshall Barer. I grew up belting along to that Original Cast Album-it's one of my all time favs! Am also fb though a little MIA/lurker lately... Keep meaning to change that.
