Once Upon a mattress Spanish Panic Fred 6

mattress6 I always suggest?... that everyone listen to the original cast recording thats all we really have of the origiunal prod I saw it when I was young my dad was the king. but the spanish panic was very diff as well as them cutting wonderful tunes out and putting "not so good ones" in instead?

The original stage and TV versions THE SPANISH PANIC, didn't have to resort to trick camera work! Each subsequent airing of "Mattress" became more and more self-indulgent.

I agree -- I don't like that sort of thing either. Someone felt a need to broaden the humor even further than the Broadway version, to the detriment of this version. Plus, why was it called the Polish Panic here?
