Thanks, Big help. My daughter’s Dell started throwing up windows blue screen of death and rebooting continuously. Ran in safe mode and went to Dell Diagnostics. Test showed SSD was bad. I removed it, sprayed with contact cleaner in contacts, blew dry with canned air and re-seated. Removed and reseated ram. Appears to have fixed it. If not I’ll back up and replace drive with a bigger one. It’s only 256gb.

It's my pleasure my friend. 🫠Regarding your issue, the ssd is degraded enough to cause a system crash, it is highly recommended to replace the ssd and install windows fresh installed.
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.
      cheers🍻

I need to replace my HD in this same spec laptop. Mine has a 6th gen processor though so I'm guessing it's a couple years earlier than this one. My question is what hard drive spec and size should I be looking to purchase? Would prefer to buy an SSD

regarding your question: sorry to inform you but your laptop only has One SODIMM slot , that means you can have a 4GB or 8GB ram in there, with max ram speed of 1600 MHz.
but we have upgrade the ram to 16gb and worked only with this ram make model: amzn.to/3Tko5S3
the sata port is: SATA 6 Gbps
you can have any 2.5‑inch drive SSD or HDD in there.
4TB SSD max or 2TB HDD max low profile
      GOOD brand and durable SSD:
      #1: amzn.to/3e2imjF

Oh man that's rough. Go to "start" - "run" and type "dxdiag" and you will be able to see your model number and processor. I wonder why they have that for your 2-in-1 do you know the year? Maybe an early model or a very slim version?

the HDD in the laptop ate the mechanical drive and they are low profile drive 2.5" 5mm.
this laptop can take 5mm-7mm profile
the 2.5' hdd comes from (5-19 mm)
BUT all 2.5' SSD sata are the low profile, if you upgrade to any SSD they are all will fit.
here is a low profile HDD: amzn.to/35DRyPd
