The owner of a big machine shop buys a new Tiffin diesel pusher, drives it to Alaska and the slide broke - he got back to AZ and told his guys to build a better system, they did, he started selling them to people in need just from the AZ location and now its growing, and growing.
Yes thats what i read up as well. Such a cool story. Very glad someone was able to pull their resources to create a solid system. Our system is working out great.
They did a great repair job on your slide system. Glad you have your slide back. Hopefully there aren't any problems with it. Great info video when I get my rv with a slide I know what to look for. Your videos are awesome. I look forward for the next video.
Yes they did. We are so exicited to have her back in full working order. Cant wait for the next trip out. Yes, we definitly should have looked into slide functions prior to puchase but were still happy with the rig and glad others can gain knowledge from our story
Not to sound like one of those know-it-all people, but if you'd like to measure the depth of something that caliper he's using can do that too, it has a little protruding rod coming from the bottom that is meant for that job. Just stick it into whatever you're trying to measure the depth of and bottom it out and it'll tell you the depth.
Hey guys, hope your enjoying your new slide system. I have a question for you. I remember in one of your posts you talked about how you shortened the bed frame. Do you mind sharing how you did that? Did you just cut and weld back the frame?

Was your slide fixed under warranty or extended warranty. I have a 2023 bt36 Omni and can I probably will have problems with the slide in the future. Your video was helpful thanks and happy raving Tom
With all the super C's out there, and under 225K, would you guys still purchase the Thor Mag, or would you consider purchasing something else; ISATA or Jayco?
Hi yes under 225k we are pretty happy with Thor. The slideout was the only major issue we presonally had but all in all its still a pretty solid rig in our opinion.
Another question - did they upgrade or add additional rollers under the slide room? I’ve discovered I’m missing 1/2 my rollers and one is badly misaligned, rolling thru glue so it’s become a sticky mess.

Cpngrats on the slide-out, this one reason I got the XG32, a shorter slide out. Looking forward to durability reports
Thank you! We love the rig, but yes the next slide will be shorter LOL. So far at home it works great, cant wait to take it out and test some more
FYI the tail of the "micrometer"/caliper can be used to measure depth.

We just had the same slide issue with our Thor Mag 2021. Could you tell us how much was Vroom and how easy was it to work with them?
@@katnowick It was super easy to book with the guys in San Diego and their schedule isnt as far out as AZ. Our total was 4800

It was about $4900. Totally worth it. Been a year now and its still working great.

Hi, yes they did. Its been a year and its been holding up pretty well. We have not had a single slide issue since upgrading from schwintek
Kevin, do you think a delrin shim of the proper thickness could resolve the oem slop issue?
Derlin is a great material, however we believe it needs a more sturdy housing support bracket to prevent play
