I don't think "The Political Vacuum of our Age" has ever been made public. I really hope ARI will release it at some point.

ARI would first need to release its own vacuum. An atheist organization, funded by Carl Barney (a 12-year-career scientologist), with massive Israel-bias hypocrisy (just read anything about immigration by ARI) and multiple instances of conflict with Rand's word. I love Rand but "her" organization is just neocon.

    Objectivism is the only hope.

@BeerCanBennytheIV Objectivism is different from Minarchy in that minarchists believe that a limited government must be funded through taxes. I would urge you to look up "how would government by funded in a free society" by Craig Biddle published on The Objective Standard. Google will show the result.

What was that movie censorship decision she's talking about?

    • @TheJustinJ

The FCC disallowed countless movies and still outlaws "curse" words over the radio airwaves. If you say "F" on the radio, you can and will be fined and even lose your license which you paid $500,000 for at an auction for this listener area.

Rand was probably the greatest genius in world history. An unbelievable injustice she doesn’t get the credit she deserves.

People aren't happy to hear reason and logic.
Just listen to any popular outlet. Take Joe Rogan, who has brilliant guests on. He is constantly bored by reality and let down when nonsense and pipe dreams are explained to be impossible. Most people tune out when reality is explained. Even though reality is intricate and exquisite. Full of endless possibilities.

The 5-10 year prediction didn’t come true. People are too unthinking and corrupt.

Seriously, WTF is ARI doing? Why wasn’t every single thing Ayn Rand ever said put out in the public domain like 15 years ago?! Why did they wait so long?

They had leadership change. By a seemingly brilliant and competent fellow who really understands and believes in the benefits of spreading these ideas.

It's always comical how nudity and sexual content is considered "X" rated or otherwise prohibited in public. But mass genocide and full on Psyche ward violence is championed as kids movies. (Avengers, Batman/Joker).

I'm surprised she gave so much emphasis on Freedom of Speech... Don't we have that in a most possible way? And yet we are evermore collectivist.

Strangely, Comedians are the ones pushing back on the widespread censorship. Rand was of low opinion of comedians. But honestly, a great comedian can get laughs and agreement from nothing but logical arguments or pointing out absurd contradictions in society, ideology, or everyday life. Which is actually compatible with objectivist principles. Although most comedians are depraved and advocate dumb ideas or produce junk content for the masses.
