    Nice solid review! That was one ugly hotend assembly 😂😂. You are right it won’t win a beauty contest. Out of all the reviews, you got the best prints with the old hotend assembly. The new hotend assembly did improve what were pretty nice prints already. That has to be one of the nicest benchys I have seen out of the box! Well done 👍

    I've had this addon for a while now, but haven't bothered to put it on., I didn't think it'd make too much of a difference, they sent it to me by mistake.

    That one-sided part cooling fan reminded me of my Ultimaker Original kit I bought in 2013! You would think in this time, dual fans / ducted on each side would be the norm! Looks like the upgrade does a great job

    I'm having issues with my printer it usually always layer shifts at a certain height. I've tried slower print speed and jerk control and it's still bad.

    I am new to 3D printers. Just set up my LK5 PRO. First print was the whistle on their card. Came out fine......ever since I have major problem with part staying adhered to plate. Have cleaned plate with IPA and dish soap. Have tried various temps and rates. Can't even duplicate results from first print with same settings. Have tried glue stick and hair spray

      Have you tried to tram (level) the bed? Are you getting a good 1st layer?

    In spiral mode, the print head pauses twice on each pass. 180 degrees from the other. It's causing blobs and two very ugly seam lines. Any idea what's causing this? I have an Elegoo Neptune 2s and haven't run into this issue with it. Scratching my head here.

    Bought the Longer LK5 Pro 3d printer and it didn't work right out of the box. The Z axis would only go up but not down, wouldn't home and was doing strange things. So, I contacted Longer support to find out that my printer had a bad motherboard. Then they told me they would ship me a new motherboard and to fix it myself. I guess they got the name LONGER for it want work long but takes longer to get it fixed. I wouldn't trust anything with the brand name Longer on it. I have three other 3d printers from three different manufactures and have had no issues. Again, I wouldn't trust anything with the brand name Longer on it.

    Hey - I just got this printer and I am interested in the tube coupler clips you used... can you point me in the direction of which ones they are and where you got them? Thanks!

    Hey Mr. TRIPOD, would you recommend the Longer 5 over the Elegoo 3 plus? The Elegoo isn't available right now. Or is it better to just wait?

    • @TripodsGarage
      @TripodsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would wait the Elegoo, it is a much better machine.

    I'm a noob and just shopping printers.... if you don't mind me asking, how long did that T-rex take to print, and how much filament did it use?

    • @TripodsGarage
      @TripodsGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Greetings! The T-Rex took just over 3 days, and a 1/3 of a spool.

    Be advised that if you have purchase and receive a defective unit Longer has no customer support. I called and emailed after purchasing one of their units do to it having issues and not feeding any filament and PLA, TPU, PTGE and they will not respond. Furthermore they blocked my number from calling them as now it goes directly to voicemail but when I restrict my caller ID the phone rings before being directed to voicemail. I would avoid this company all together and picking an alternative option..

    I rebuilt my Longer LK5 with the mainboard and major components from an Ender 3 v2 and it now works like it should have from the start. Great frame. Terrible printer otherwise.
