    Great video, man! Helps me understand a lot more about motorcycle wiring. I'm trying to fix the headlight on my motorcycle atm.

    Ohh shit hommie!! I think you got your funky info about system. Like I said a lithium battery called “antigravity” the make batteries so specifically for dirt bikes and race cars. And just one that’s about almost a pound and the size of a large pack of cigarettes. Will replace that insanely large battery and take off about 10kb!!! Or more. If I were you I’d switch to a much much much smaller batter batterry (which is why it’ll never get charged it’s not the stater it’s the batteries got to many amps.which isn’t necessary cause those amps are used to start a car. !! Switch tj a lithium battery. Used the reg/rec to charger the battery whatever extra unused power will ground out. Then off the battrrry run the fuse box which has easily enough power from your batterry to run everything esp since led, lithium run so much more efficiently that. Old school lights. The smallest antigravity batterry weighing just 16oinces has enough power to started a CBR 600 which. Uses cranking amps. it has 13.6.volts when charged and will power everything you have because of It runs off of A\c.. and some bikes have a magneto like youre!! Cause that’s what powers the e-start. But running the lights from the hot outta the reg/rec will ground any extra power.
    So toss that battery back in the car or ruck where it belongs and google dirt bike light schematic w/ e start. or whatever detail your bike has and keep it simple. It appears you’ve got enough extra wire.. I mean there’s more money than in copper than than what a whole new system would cost. Besides returning that battery will get ya some loot too. But the weight savings will convince anyone and the simplicity will have any critical junking person baffled how they overthought things. But I also without an electrical meter you’ll never know what’s what. Getting electrocuted is another way,, but you don’t wanna go that route. It’s almost as frustrating as the route you’ve already gone.

    So basically you added a battery and ran ur lights too then u externally charge it with a wall charger. There is no need for the rectifier or voltage regulator inline fuse is all is needed led have no issue running off a motorcycle batterie theres no need to convert from ac to dc cuz ur not going though the stator. All u did was wire a batterie to run ur switches and lights.

    So I’m just gonna buy a battery and a voltage regulator that way I can regulate the voltage coming off the battery. So the lighting system always has 12v even if the battery is dying and even if the battery is only putting 10v it’ll still regulate it up to 12v. Then just bought a tusk light kit so I don’t have to mess with the actual harness on the bike. I have no idea if I can get it to work but if it does I’ll make a video on it.

    Not bad information, but your saying the only way to charge is with a wall outlet set up. Use low volt leds and a battery could last a while. At least 4 hrs with 10w set up. Or just use the reg/rect for your headlights and battery for your tail/brake/ indicator lights. Lasts even longer
    Im working on a video to show how to use a step up converter to make a charging system for external batteries on dirt bikes that stock with one added. Check my page soon for the video

    Doesn't a bigger regulator work for not burning out your juice?

    when does all the power become tranfered from ac to dc from like the wires is it the pulse or the red and black wire that has the 80 volts or higher in it and where would hook it up to get the lights to work because i tried to hook it up to the red. and black wire on the opposite side of the cdi and my lights didnt turn on i hooked up a rectifier and same thing happened

    hey man, I can't seem to find the second video. this is funny because it looks like we have the same headlight too. I've been working on a ktm450 for like 4 months and have had this same issue and I've been thinking about working on the original system but not making a new system.

      Christopher Wolfe the reason y I made a new system was to avoid the headaches that the original system can cause . unless if u had your charging system working properly in Wich case u had a battery that was charging properly as well I would stick to the original system other wise I would recommend making a new one like I did . I'm working on putting up the second video part 2 soon

      so the ac power comes from your stator and goes into the regulator rectifier and it charges up the battery my system is that I don't even mess with that system cus it's a head ache so I run the battery into a fuse box and from there I run my power

    I recently added led light strips and I have other lights on my 250cc as well but my toggle switch keeps breaking idk why plz help

    • @tht1guyfromtht1place70
      @tht1guyfromtht1place70 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Higher amp rated switch probably and you need a regulator/ rectifier between your toggle and battery to keep the voltage the same. , when you rev your engine the voltage from your main source (stator) rises, //assuming you have a dirt bike// and over heating your switch. If your bike is equipped with a one. Check the cords are neg to neg and + to + . The led strip may be drawing too much or the strip could for an ac outlets only. Some are home specific and some meant for 12v dc
