I have nothing but respect for Ike, he admits his passion/competitive fire get the best of him, but all pro athletes are bad losers, it’s what drives them to win. He’s brought so many eyes to the sport and is always riding the wave of the next big thing in the industry. Ike sees how successful TH-cam fishin content creators are and collabs with em, becuz he’s one step ahead of his haters and likes to GROW OUR SPORT! Mad respect Ike!

A lot of MLB players break bats over their knees after gettin K’d after 1 of 4 at bats, PGA golfers break clubs they are struggling with during 1 round when there’s still 3 more rounds to come, Ike broke it once he actually lost the tourney. I love that fire and that want to win. Makes it more entertaining instead of 100 anglers talkin about how great being an Eagle Scout is and how vacation bible school was their fav part of adolescence, we have guys like Ike with different life experiences. Not hating on those things, but it’s nice to have a variety of personalities. Plus Ike’s environment shaped him, everyone in the Northeast is a loud, aggressive, abrasive, and fiercely loyal to their fam/friends and they channel those 3 “negative” traits and use them for good as well.

Man I would love to spend the day with Ike. So a cool guy. I actually got to drive his truck at the St. John’s bass elite event in palatka fl. He was loading the boat by himself and asked if he needed help. He said yeah jump in the truck. I admit I was star struck and didn’t talk to him much but he is just a super good dude.

I have been collecting pre rap warts for years, I remember when they announced that they got sold , bass pro had them in bins for .99 I bought every craw color they had. I still have hundreds of them new in the box. Hoarding tackle is a fun hobby lol

The Ike dude combo was my first real rod I got. I still have it after 8 years and caught many fish on it, I’ve been buying more expensive gear so I retired it a few years ago but will never get rid of it.

I have tournaments where he was so emmontial youbwoukd think a vein in his forehead was going to pop. Seeing some of the lures bring back memories I still have lures from the 70’s when I was a kid. My Lovely wife says that I am still a 9 year old when it comes to fishing and looking at some of the fishing stuff and memories of old

This video reminded me that I have a half dozen or so warts in fire tiger that I keep for one spot on Oneida in the late fall. Same with deep normans for Cayuga. Both lakes are within 2-1/2 hours from home and haven’t been to either in 5 years.
