Can you try this damage test in a node that doesn't have earth attribute enemies? I know kuku easily surpasses koyan dark in damage. But since the enemies are earth attribute, the difference is also slightly inflated.

When Kukulkan first came out, I thought her design was awesome, then it got revealed that she was the most unga-bunga buster servant in the game so now I have to roll at least np2 when she arrives in global. Best of both worlds, aesthetics and gameplay.
They have to make sure that the closest servant to ORT is way out of league for a space rabbit 🤷🏾 Seriously talking, Kuku is brute force but Koyan dark is more helpful when it comes to setups, specially in the weird nodes of 90++ or through status (they not that common but they’re fun to use and she’s the best for that gimmick).

Technically she easily beats him if they fight neutral, even without niche. Spishtar needs a BBG to beat out Mao Nobu by a measly 10% if the target has none of the traits. Any of them? Then even BBG Spishtar isn't even close. Being outdone by 25% or with both by ~100%. I wish Koyan dark and Durga got the same treatment as Mao Nobu.

In yugioh the concept of One Turn Kill refers to the act to defeat your opponent in a single turn, strategies desinged to produce 8000 points of damage, enough to win the game, in a single one turn combo. To produce any more damage than that is useless, as with a few exception, your opponent will never have more than 8000 LP. I'm sure than there are nods that only Kuku can clear and she is surely kinda broken but I still thing Koyan Dark is still more fun to play even if her damage cant compare to Kuku's.
For me, I still love koyan since her trait and skill can play with different kinds of servants (Van Gogh, Douman, etc.) which is very fun for me to look for new gameplay while Kuku may need support to generate stars for peak performance.
But Kukulkan doesn't need any stargen help outside of her very first turn since her NP literally gives star bomb that can supply back her skills, which her best support KoyanLight also provides.
You could have left the part about Kuku out and this would be a fine comment tbh. She definitely doesn't need help. The buster supports give stars for free and once she starts nping, she's getting all the stars she needs.

The real argument in favor of Koyanskaya is that if you are free to play and have servants like Melusine, draco, Tiamat, etc you can use her as support AND get optimized bond farming with the newly released CE to get as much SQ as possible. It may not seem much to a whale, but that sweet 20% bond farming bonus goes a long way.
Koyami has a party-wide 30% battery with a bonus 30% buster, she has a targeted double overcharge up, her Animal Support, while niche, still hits good power picks like Meluko, her "DoT" skill is also a full 3 turn invuln pierce and Crit amp, and her NP applies Buster Res Down to whoever survives. What Koyanskaya lacks in raw power she makes up for in versatility, being able to fit into a variety of multicore teams, as well as fitting nicely into crit teams as well. DoT does not play any part, the most youll ever get from that is either solo situations or running her with Van Gogh so she has a better battery. Theres so many other angles to cope for Koyami, trying to make it sound like her S3 is just DoT focused is a bit of a fool's errand.

Though sadly she's been kinda left to the wayside now that I have NP4 Summer Kama and NP5 Lancer Melusine... It's nice to have options. At least Lasengle likes to buff servants so that when they do get a meaningful buff, you can return to them. Not a lot of gacha games even bother buffing old units.

20% team atk, 30% team crit resist, 50% targeted battery, 2 stacks targeted evasion, targeted Surehit, 10 stars per turn and 8% team buff success up just by existing. She’s a better support than most “good” SR support. Just because she’s not supposed to be used as support doesn’t mean she’s not good at it.
